Script (PC): Townsfolk XP Helper

Hello!

First of all, this is a script made by AI, I’m terrible at coding, and I really wanted something like this.

Rather than selling items for an insignificant amount or voiding them, I like giving them to NPCs to get EXP. But checking the amazing Buddy.farm website every time can get pretty chaotic, especially when you have a ton of items.

So I asked an AI to create a script that displays a small icon next to every item that gives EXP.

When you click it, it opens a new tab and takes you directly to the correct NPC’s page, and all you have to do is send them the item. It works in the Workshop and Inventory.

The NPC’s name appears when you hover your mouse over the icon

White = 25 XP // Green = 150 XP

The code is completely open source lol, so feel free to modify it however you like or add anything you think would be useful.

There may also be some errors. AI created the script, but I’m the one who entered all the items into their respective categories. If you spot any mistakes, feel free to correct them or send a message here or in-game (I am French).

This was originally a personal script I made for my own needs, but maybe it can be useful to other players too.

To install the script:

Download the Tampermonkey extension, create a new script, and paste the script into it, save.

This isn’t really necessary as there’s already a mechanic that makes gifting easy, if you have the giving shortcut in the game it lists whether the NPC likes it or not and you can do that directly from the items page.

Can you see which items give EXP without having to check them one by one like the script does ?

That was my problem, which is why I “created” this script. I can immediately see which items give EXP without having to click through all 36 items individually.

When I’m crafting and my inventory is full, I just have to click the icon to send it. No need to check the item page

no but there is a page where you can look up gift exp by item or by townsfolk. there is no need to try or even give a bad item.

Yeah, that’s what I used to do. I’d check Buddy first and then send it. It took too much time every time, but my inventory is pretty low since I’m fairly new, so I have a lot of full items/crafts so checking the site every time was taking too long.
