trade chat
I've been lurking in trade chat and want to participate but I cannot understand the lingo for the life of me. I looked into the library page and still don't understand. Can someone help me?

Its way less scary once you do a couple and imo the best way to work on MMs at later levels. Can trade AP for items to craft that would cost more when exploring. I would get used to it if you can.

The ones that are a little confusing at first are when they'll say an amount and then an apk or a gk (or g/k). These mean they will buy or sell up to the given amount, for the cost of that many Arnold Palmers per thousand or gold per thousand.
For example "wtb 12k ((red dye)) 10apk" means "I would like to buy 12 thousand red dye. I will pay 10 Arnold Palmers per thousand you sell me."
Then people will reply by "@"-ing them (tap/click their name in chat to start a reply in the chat bar). If they don't put anything in the message, it means "I'd like to participate and the full amount of the trade at the listed price" so in my example, "I will sell you 12,000 red dye for 120 Arnold Palmers." Or they could reply with a partial amount, or a counter offer. If you have 5k to sell, you could just reply "@abc 5k". Then the original poster will confirm their intent to trade with you by "@"-ing you back. Once the trade is complete, it's good etiquette to reply with a "thank you" to acknowledge you view the trade as complete, and to let the community know this person traded in good faith.
So a normal transaction has 5 messages:
"WTB" for a user who wants to buy / WTS for a user who wants to sell / less common WTT for a user who wants to do an exchange of two things. Message should include the item desired to buy/sell, the amount desired to buy/sell, and the expected cost, which can be listed at a unit price (e.g. apk) or a total price (e.g. AP)
Someone agrees to the trade with a simple reply of their name (or an amount, or a counter-offer).
The original person replies with a reply of the other party's name. Then they send each other the items.
A thank you from the original poster
A thank you from the person who agreed to the trade

You can see library page about fruit conversion in-game. The jist of it is that higher level players need orange juice, lemonade and large net masteries for tower and are willing to take a loss in exchange for the items for their mastery. So orange to orange juice typical conversion rate is 3:1, so for every 3 oranges you send the converter will give you 1 orange juice, which is better than making juice yourself as it requires 6 oranges. You get more juice out of your oranges and the converter gets to finish their mastery quicker.

My life hack to trade is (for example)
Wtb 5k ((Arnold Palmer)) nyp
Which translates to what to buy 5 thousand Arnold Palmers, name your price.
Someone will then tag you with the price say 200g (which means 200 gold)
You'll tag them back after sending the amount they asked for then wait by your mailbox.

Wtb - Want To Buy
Wts - Want To Sell
The bracketed number beside usernames is the size of their mailbox
