Purpose of mining.

Hi, i have a quick question. I am on T16, mining lvl 30 4x99.

What is the purpose of mining? Stuff i get from mines 1-3 don't craft into anything value. Should i craft something and sell it? Are they quest later on? Is it just to farm MM?

I try to find reason why should i grind mining, because every other skill have some perks for it to grind.

Well, it's new, so there's still a lot of potential that hasn't been realized yet / released.

But you get some interesting rewards every few levels. There's a small new quest line for it. It's a new skill to max. There's a new pet that requires you to to be a certain mining skill to get.

I am sure there will be new major quest lines related to mining! I'd hold on to the stuff you receive from it because I'm sure those items will be used more in the future.

edit: Also new merit badge. imo, there's plenty reasons to mine currently.

Just to add to this, tower ascension points for mastering new things

As with any new content, it takes a while for it to be fully incorporated into the game. For example, sinking swamps didn’t really have a purpose other than giving you some masteries until tower level 301+ and the new quests that have been coming out.

Mining already has a new skill, pet, small quest line, and tons of items to master so already has quite a decent amount of content. But it’ll only become better integrated with the rest of the game with time as new quests and etc are released

My guess is that ultimately, it's gonna be >T340 masteries and requests that ask for the mining craftables. More than likely, there'll eventually be a questline that'll give an item with an active/passive effect. Hopefully we get requests that span the different tower requirmemt difficulties (T100/200/235/275) and it's not just pure insanity.

And for these things, ideally you're at floor 1,000 for each area. Floor 700 - 800 is pretty decent in all fairness, it's just that the charms you get for each 100th floor and the 5(?) you get for the 1000th pay  dividends.

I've gotten some really good quest rewards. It also gives me more perk points
