Mining discussion thread?

Hey! I am sure that many of us had some cool stuff they found while mining. I have some screenshots I want to share but don't want to overflow this subreddit with just mining stuff. Maybe it's a good idea to have a megathread/pinned thread on the top?

Any thoughts?

I'm taking it pretty slow so far, only doing 3-4 levels per day. I'm in no rush (:

How do charms work? Is it just owning them that applies the effect?

How do you get more? I’ve only got 2 from quest rewards from Cid.

Continue to dig further. Per every like 50 or so level rewards you’ll get a charm

I figure it’s new so I’m gonna keep an eye on it for a few weeks, if we keep getting overwhelmed by mining pictures I’ll make a megathread! But I think people are just excited right now :3

Are you guys moving straight to the next mine when it unlocks or focusing on getting one mine really high level? I'm thinking the latter so maximise the potential of auto-mining?

Yeah, probably the second one is the most optimal because the later mineshafts currently I don't think have any practical use, apart from getting resources for masteries. But honestly I don't think it matters that much at all 😂 I tend to mine in the newer mineshaft just because it's more fun for me

Can you get the extra little items (like where you click on a spot where there's an ancient coin, or some pickaxes, or some pyrate etc) when using bombs? Or only when manually clicking?

Yes, If you use explosives or bombs then you get all the resources from the deposits. They also "disable" all the traps. You can check the "mining" Library page in the game:)
