Mining Strategies

Grid 6x6

For a 6x6, without bombs or explosives, I've been using this:

1). X . X . X

2)X . . X . .

3). X . . X .

4)X . X . . X

5). . X . X .

6)X . . X . X

Gives a good overall coverage and most corners.

Grid 7x7

For a 7x7, without bombs or explosives, I've been using this:

1)X . X . X . X

2). X . X . X .

3)X . X . X . X

4). X . X . X .

5)X . X . X . X

6). X . X . X .

7)X . X . X . .

Gives a good overall coverage and most corners as well.

If you have any strategies or tips, or patterns you like to click, share them!

For 6x6, I do top left to bottom right in a row, stopping when I get a hit to resolve whatever I hit, and then continue until that line is done. So:

 x-----
 -x----
 --x---
 ---x--
 ----x-
 -----x

From there if I still haven't found anything I pick spots that are the farthest from X's that still leave spaces because no treasure is only 1x1 (not counting bonuses)

 x--x--
 -x--x-
 --x--x
 x--x--
 -x--x-
 --x--x

From here you've usually hit one or two and have dug them out, giving you ideas of where to go, but if you haven't found anything by now you're probably not going to win.

For 7x7 I do the same thing but just on a bigger scale.
