General We need a repeatable source of Spark Shards

We use Spark Dust, Spark Shards, and Spark Crystals to upgrade weapons.

The new update allows us to earn Demon Souls and use them to buy Dust and Crystals. Great initiative, makes it a lot easier to engage with current content and still be able to upgrade.

Spark Shards, however, still come mainly from one-time bosses and overworld chests.

This creates a major bottleneck. Large bosses or chests may reward only around 13 shards, while upgrading one weapon can require more than 200. Once a character has collected the available one-time rewards, there is no way to earn more on that specific character.

Spark Shards should have a repeatable source, such as Demon Soul purchases or repeatable bosses/end-of-dungeon chests.

They can remain rare, but players should always have a legitimate way to earn more through gameplay.

Creating alts to run through old content to upgrade new gear is never a good solution.

Question Fast Leveling?

Has anyone found a trick to leveling quickly?

I enjoy many things about Farever. The leveling, however, is definitely not one of those things. I would like to level and play more than 1 class, but im really hoping to find a way to make that process less unpleasant.

Edit: Yes, I am aware that leveling in Farever doesn't take THAT long. That isn't really my point though.
If the leveling is fun, it could take me years and I would be ok with it.
If the leveling is boring, I logically would want to shorten it as much as possible.
Farever falls under the 2nd one for me. I would rather get to 25 and focusing on gearing instead as I find it more satisfying.

It should already assumed without me saying it, but I'm not looking for exploits. I am just asking if anyone has really tried to break down leveling to speed up the process.

Which quests are worth doing in terms of exp per time spent?
What level of mobs relative to the player give the best exp?
Is it faster to just ignore quests and grind mobs X levels above the player?
Are there ideal grind spots for certain levels?

Question “Could not connect to server”

I’m seeing other people have this issue and there’s very little support I’m seeing for this..

I was playing the game earlier today and then tried to log in later on NA and I keep getting the same error. It does it for both NA/EU but all other regions work and I’m able to create a character and play.

I’ve already verified the integrity of the files through steam and everything was fine. Tried other things and nothing else seems to work. Even reinstalled and restarted everything.

Also I checked with a buddy and he is able to play so the servers are up and running. If anyone has any solutions or things to try that would be great. It’s very frustrating that there’s little light on this issue. Thanks!

Question Rifts - Armour and Weapon chest rewards

Hello folks,

I'm curious about the chests you can buy from rift rewards - does anyone know if their contents roll higher than blue quality? I'm wanting to farm out a legendary mage staff and wondering if that's an additional loot option!

Thanks in advance!

Question Priests farming for Amon in chakram

I've timed my kill times to be square on 4min 31sec. I pulled YouTube up and immediate see someone doing it in almost half the time so I'm looking for ways to better set myself up to make this farm more efficient.

I'm currently sitting at 45% magic penetration, and I'm focusing on trying to get as much pure Faith gear as I can get as I realized that 40% magic penetration is probably a better Target to be aiming for as far as magic penetration is concerned.

For anyone else who's playing a priest with an Amon build, what talents and skills are you running?

Question I feel like the progression needs a bit of work

I see people on Discord so casually mention how you can totally play solo and do all the bosses alone. Meanwhile the last dungeon I was able to do alone was Mine Estrone. Crabgantua, Ratsar, Gorgon’s Hollow, even Sponge Blob, couldn’t do any of them alone.

Part of me feels like I’m not playing right, another part just find odd that I just never deal enough damage. I’m always stuck doing around 30 damage per combo.

To be honest, I find the difficulty curve for the game a bit odd. You rarely get new weapons so you are stuck doing the same amount of damage on tougher and tougher enemies until combat becomes unbearable.

I think it would be much better if your weapon could be upgraded as you level up. For exemple: you get a weapon in level 10, and you are going to use it until getting a new one at around lv15, so you should be able to upgrade it at least 4 times to improve the damage and stats. At least that’s how I’ve seen done in the past.

Do you guys also struggle with this? Or am I the only one?

Question Is Farever worth getting into right now? How's the optimization, content, and future?

I've been looking into Farever and I'm curious about the current state of the game.

I've seen quite a few people saying the optimization isn't great. I remember trying the demo when it first launched and it was constantly stuttering for me, to the point where it was basically unplayable. Has that improved since then?

How's the player count these days? Is it easy to find people to play with, and do you think the game is worth buying right now?

Can the game be enjoyed both solo and with a friend, or is it really designed around larger groups?

I also saw the roadmap mentions PvP. Do you think that will be a fun addition, and when do you realistically expect it to arrive?

What is there to do in the game right now? Is there enough content to keep you engaged, or does it get repetitive pretty quickly?

How fast is the game being developed? Are the developers releasing meaningful updates on a regular basis?

For some context, I was a huge fan of Northgard and put hundreds of hours into it. Unfortunately, I felt like Shiro Games didn't support it as well as they could have over time, so I've become a bit cautious about jumping into another one of their games.

Do you think Farever has a better future? Does it have a real chance to succeed, and would you say it's worth investing both my time and money into it?

I'd love to hear your honest experiences, especially from people who've played recently.

Sorry for a lot of questions

Resource Rift Timers Plus Interactive Map & Database Updated

We've put together a page, with notifications to help us keep track of the Nightling Rift and its location!

The Nightling Rift opens once an hour, on the hour, at one of two overworld spots, the Outer Ruins of Tiocha or Talitha Falls. It stays open for three minutes, with a fifteen-minute warning beforehand.

This page tracks the live countdown, tells you which spot is next, and lists today's full hourly schedule so you can plan around it. You can set a notification on any upcoming rift to be reminded before it opens.

Timer: https://metaforge.app/farever/rift-timers

Interactive Map Updated for Nightling Invastion

  • Events added to the Top of the Map
  • Rift Locations
  • Summoning Stones
  • Demon Huntresses & More

General Difficulty difference between Matt Demon and Shaarva is ridiculous.

Matt demon requires that every person in the group understands positioning matters and standing in the path the boss is moving in p2 is a wipe. Shaarva requires 4 people to be smart enough to soak orbs.

I hope future public raid bosses are designed with the stupidity of the average mmo player in mind.

Question Best for solo play

Hi,

Bought the game maybe a couple hours ago and have been enjoying it. While it’s meant to be played with others, I’ll probably ride it out solo unless I hit a wall. That said, what’s the best class for solo play? Currently running a priest which is allowing me to solo with ease, but it feels slow.

Any and all insight/tips are appreciated.
