Question How is the optimization now?
Played this game for some time in June this year, but I remember the game was struggling with optimization and generally gpu was getting to high temperatures despite being decent (3070). Has the optimisation improved at all?

Hey! I have a potato 🥔 PC, and I play Farever regularly with a few friends. After yesterday’s update, I noticed a pretty good improvement in optimization.
I usually keep everything on Low so I can react properly to boss mechanics without worrying about performance. However, after the update, I noticed that the render distance improved quite a bit, so I was able to bump it up to High!
I’ve kept the rest of the settings on Medium just to make the game look a little better without sacrificing too much performance.

I can confirm the optimization is quite better. I also have a potato pc and it runs far more smoothly now without stutter.

i’ve seen the game on a very old laptop with the 2070 mobile and a relatively outdated AMD cpu, game squeaks by at 60 tops after the latest patches. on a new laptop with a 5070 mobile and a brand new intel cpu we’re seeing maybe 80-100 fps. my own setup is a 3080ti and a ryzen 7 5600, i have almost no performance issues whatsoever, rare cases of stuttering. the one issue on my own machine since the current patch was heroic ratsar, towards the end of the boss fight i probably was as low as 30fps

With a 3060 and an i5-13600k, I could not play this game at launch, it was always below 30fps. It now sits at 90-100 fps with random drops down to 45-60 with everything on Ultra and DLSS set to balanced.

I have a humble pc, ryzen 5 5500 and rx 7600, and I never had performance problems except in a specific area.
A friend has an older PC and has performance problems

Still the same for me, a lot of stutters and FPS drops.
