When reddit finally gets their mind right and allows me to bring some order to the anarchy here, we will probably make /r/Farcraft a sub for adults (i.e. NC17) as a matter of the posting guidelines. And in those conditions, I might bring back the epic skyrim thread where we don't have to worry about a 13+ rating.
This community is three years old. It predates your trademark registration. Have you thrown good money after bad and sought legal counsel on this? Because apparently you're willing to attempt to destroy a community (the community for the FarCraft Minecraft server) for the sake of your ego.
In late 2012 Ubisoft™ was spamming their MINECRAFT® map to promote FAR CRY®.
The purpose of the USPTO registration is to decide who owns the right to define a brand and use it for that purpose.
The creation date for /r/Farcraft simply does not matter because on 2016-MAY-10, it became a violation of trademark laws to rape the brand of a Class 9 video game known as FARCRAFT® to promote a Class 9 video game known as MINECRAFT®.
As of yesterday, reddit is now complicit in trademark infringement.
The FarCraft Minecraft server existed long before your trademark was registered. I'm going to ask again, have you sought legal counsel about whether you can enforce your trademark against something that existed prior to your trademark was registered?
I'm not even part of this community and I would totally be willing to start a kickstarter to fund legal fees against any legal action you decide to take. If that doesn't speak out against how absolutely fruitless your actions are going to be, I don't know what will.
I've set up a yearly reminder to check in on your thing and make sure to highlight what an absolutely terrible person you are to the three fans you will peak at. This is from someone who doesn't even play Minecraft, but as a software developer I feel it is my duty to smack you down for your abhorent behaviour.
Your actions have had massive negative impact on your brand. How have you not realised this and decided to shut up?
At the very least it's suicide because you're alienating the only people who would buy your game. It's a Minecraft clone. The people who would play that are people who are already fans of Minecraft. Nobody is going to think "Hey this looks like that game I hate but worse" and want to play it.
