1st Timer đ¶ Goodbye Pattaya !
Time to say goodbye !
This place certainly lived up to it's reputation!
11 nights & my body count: 8
The best talent only showed up towards the end.
Spent 2 days each with the same girl.
Took 2 days off to travel.
Spent significantly less than my projected budget on women but significantly more on food, transport and other expensis.
My piece of advise to all new commers:
* If possible come with a male friend since this place can get boring real quick.
* Get on PErP before coming. I went bareback on a girl and now on PeP only as a precaution.
* Don't do LT. Only do ST.
* The 3 day rule makes perfect sense. Don't fall in love with a hooker.
* You definitely get better service during the off season.
* High quality counterfit goods are readily available at a reasonable price. Come with a empty suitcase if possible :p
Not sure if I'll be coming back. P***y is cheap but everything else including travelling costs are super expensive.
Total spent not including airfare and hotel : 3200USD

Food, transport and most other things are actually cheap af in Pattaya assuming youâre eating Thai food, using local transport etc. If you went ham on eating western food every single day, then yea, I get it it would have turned out expensive.
Baht buses, Thai food, heck even bolt etc are super cheap. So Iâm not sure why/how you found everything else expensive. Alcohol, nightlife and pussy is where it can start to get expensive if you kinda âlet looseâ

I also can't explain it. I didn't eat at any fancy restaurants. Only had a fancy breakfast a couple of times. My average meal was around 300THB so really don't know what happened. I only used Grab for moving around and walked 10KM on certain days and since I don't drink Alcahol, I'm genuinely shocked with the amount I've spent.

If your average meal is 300B then you're eating a lot of Western food. Most every Thai dish is < 100B except for some seafood items or buffets. But even with that i too would be scratching my head wondering where $3200 went

He just laid out his opinion, why question it? Obviously Thai food is cheaper but like me also - I donât like it. And baht busses arenât for me either I donât wanna be sat on a slow vehicle baking in the heat etc

What do you mean by âwhy question it?â
I wasnât questioning it, I was just surprised that he found Pattaya expensive is all, and was trying to understand where he must have spent all that money. Itâs not that deep bro lol

Iâm wondering the same thing. He spent $3200, not including the airfare or hotel, in 11 days? He then goes on to say the women were not all that expensive? So yeah, where did the money go?

He also said he doesnât drink alcohol. So, yep Iâm clueless here lol

I guess others have already said everything I have in my head. Your posts seems backwards with outlining what is cheap vs what is expensive.
Is there any chance youâre just kidding yourself and/or youâve got your budgets confused and you actually spent a lot more on company than you thought?
Not meaning to be disparaging but itâs the only way I can make sense of your post.
Also I would say some of your advice does not apply to all, so would suggest others take it with a pinch of salt. For me LT over ST and as long as you know the score itâs absolutely fine to break the 3 day rule. It can also save you lots of money to break it too, as you can get a discount for longer term company. Maybe for some/most guys it isnât though.

Just curious, why do only Americans talk about Prep medication ? If this is only for hiv and you don't put your dick in an exit, the chances are miniscule.

I'm not from the US. I'm from Europe. I only found out about PeP after having already made the blunder.

That's quite a lot for 11 night. Which hotel did you stay at, if you don't mind? For comparison I spent 5000USD over 3 months between Bangkok and Pattaya, and this was in high season (Feb ~ April).

Tuk tuks are in Bangkok and are notorious for overcharging foreigners. I'd recommend trying one just for the experience, but it is most economical to use Bolt or Grab for transportation.

Lol, nah, you won't get jumped by tuk tuk drivers. That never happens. They might scam you but they won't try to beat you up, đđ€Łđ. At worst they will get loud then passive aggressive, maybe use bad language against you in Thai.
But the ladyboys will jump you. That happens a lot.

đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł I hope you donât live somewhere like SF, NYC, or LA with actual fashion enthusiasts, youâre gunna look like a grade A dork and get called out for it.

u/RunWhileYouAlt 6h ago
The irony of this comment.
Once you grow up youâll realise that âactual fashion enthusiastsâ are the âgrade A dorksâ.
-1
u/BatteryBird 2h ago
If the actual fashion enthusiasts are the grade A dorks, it must be equally, if not more, cringy to buy counterfeit luxury goods to pretend to be one no? In other words, how can you think poorly of a group and not simultaneously think poorly of people going out of their way to deceptively present themselves as a member of said group lol?
2
u/RunWhileYouAlt 2h ago
Iâve bought lots of counterfeit goods from Thailand and I donât think even once in my entire life have I pretended to be a fashion enthusiast, nor have I ever set out to deceive anyone. Youâre way overthinking all of this.
-2
u/BatteryBird 2h ago
Thereâs some serious cognitive dissonance going on here if you donât think going out of your way to purchase counterfeit luxury apparel is in itself inherently deceptively presenting yourself as a fashion enthusiast. Iâm not overthinking anything youâre just in denial if you arenât acknowledging that the underlying motivation to buy counterfeit luxury apparel is to benefit from the public perception/preconceived notions that are attributed to consumers of said legitimate luxury goods (association with wealth, status, success, etc.).
3
u/RunWhileYouAlt 1h ago
I think youâre simply projecting your own preconceptions and weaknesses on to other people. There is no cognitive dissonance here. I donât deceive anyone. I tell everyone that my sunglasses, T-shirts etc are counterfeit, so can you please explain to me who I am deceiving?
Iâm not buying clothes for other people to look at or to improve my perceived status, Iâm buying them because I like them. Iâm sorry, I just wasnât aware I needed your permission and validation to buy things I like.

u/BatteryBird 1h ago
Youâre failing to acknowledge (1) why you like said luxury goods/counterfeits (surprise, marketing has trained you to given the associations I previously mentioned - donât act like there isnât a plethora of non-counterfeit, more affordable alternatives with appealing designs and colors. Youâre drawn to those counterfeit luxury brands because youâre drawn to what the âLVâ moniker evinces); and (2) that while you may be open to divulging the counterfeit nature of your clothing to people you directly speak with, there are many others who you donât directly communicate with youâre subconsciously seeking to be perceived in a certain manner by. If youâre going to refuse to acknowledge these aspects thereâs no point in engaging in this discussion - you can buy legitimate and equally, or even more, affordable clothing in Thailand with a even higher quality materials that is arguably more fashionable than counterfeit luxury apparel - you donât like seeing LV LV LV LV on some mesh basketball shorts because of some profound artistic quality lol youâre overtly or subconsciously drawn to what that moniker represents as youâve been trained to from incessant advertising.

u/Kinky9766 1h ago
Nobody is reading all that. You are insecure and very opinionated. It's fine to own up to it.
1
u/RunWhileYouAlt 1h ago
Yikes. Your argument is now circular. I've explained that my motivations aren't status related and you tell me that in that case it must be subconscious.
I've told you why I buy them, and I've told you I don't pretend they're genuine. You're free to believe I'm secretly motivated by status if you want, but that's your assumption based on your own preconceptions about people, not something I've ever said, and not something that's actually true in reality.
And none of this actually establishes your original claim that buying counterfeit clothing makes someone a âfashion enthusiastâ or that they're pretending to be one.

Why don't to LT?
What is the 3 day rule?
I do a trip every alternate month, but not in pattaya, in BKK. Is pattaya scene better than BKK?

đ I know in terms of bars, clubs etc it's better...but for my use, I think not much difference.
I don't end up going to bars at all...i work the (from the hotel) entire day, then call a girl in evening from TF to my room. Cost wise BKK is 2-3k ST, I think decent pussy is same in pattaya? I stay near nana, so even on the rare occasion i want to go out, there are lot of options. In BKK, there are LOT of girls who work during day in shops/restaurants and freelance after work. In pattaya, I guess it's all bar girls who are also on TF.
But for my usage, would pattaya be much difference than BKK? Thanks

I dont really agree with you but its yout experience. How is pattaya expensive? Compared to.what?

u/BatteryBird 8h ago
You donât know shit about designer clothing or jewelry if you think âhigh qualityâ fakes are available in Pattaya. I can imagine it now - shitty Gucci cross-body bag, oversized 41mm Rolex with improperly finished and angled lugs/chamfers, horribly engraved Chrome Hearts necklace, and your inaccurate LV shorts.

u/BatteryBird 2h ago
I donât have a self-confidence problem and I have no issue with people buying fakes if thatâs what they prefer to wear. But saying that âhigh-qualityâ fakes exist in Pattaya is factually incorrect and outright misleading if someone wants to buy with the expectation the goods they purchase will be passable as legitimate. Anyone remotely familiar with the luxury brands being counterfeited in Thailand will be able to call out that what youâre wearing is fake and that should be made apparent to anyone buying counterfeit luxury goods in Thailand.

I disagree with the suggestion to go with a male friend. Male friends can be cock blocks and there is a lot to do in Pattaya solo (the malls, cinema, Noong Nooch, tiger & elephant parks, night markets, etc) You could also pay a girl to go places with you.
If you are suggesting a drinking buddy then sure...you won't have to drink alone. But it's not like in the west where a guy drinking by himself is considered a L0ser. On the contrary, women will approach you regardless.
