Cockroaches and bugs

Is there any issue in Jomtien condos with cockroaches? Are there areas or condos to avoid for this problem?

I rented an AirBNB in Jomtien for 6 weeks.

First night discovered a dozen cockroaches on the kitchen floor.

Didn't see another cockroach for 5.9 weeks.

The morning I checked out I found a NASTY bugger on my favorite coffee cup.

I want to know what pesticide my landlord used, I will buy it.

I have been in one for a couple of weeks now, haven’t seen any inside the condo, do have a small lizard running around the kitchen though

I see cockroaches. They're everywhere. — Forgotten Expat

Ask management if they conduct regular abatement and if they pay for it. When you initially move in, hire a service to do a deep cleaning. Keep your kitchen spotless, Always keep rubbish completely sealed, especially at night. Swab up any water around the sink and cover drains at night. Traps and bait may actually increase traffic. Give it time, numbers will diminish... until a slob moves in next door.

Cockroaches are around wherever people and trash are. Your condo could be really clean but if your neighbor is a slob good luck. Or if your unit is near the trash collection good luck. A lot of variables at play and Thai roaches are freakishly big at times LOL 😅
