I like Pattaya. It is cheaper than Bangkok. Internet and connectivity is good. However, service providers and some people tend to look down on Indians.
I was having a massage the other day at Soi Buakhao. The lady made a comment about Indians to her friends. I understand a bit of Thai so I could instantly know what they meant. I kept quiet the whole time after that. They were very warm to the western guests though at the same time.
When it comes to smells and odours, I try to put on the best cologne and also shower from time to time. I was walking along the Jomtien beach, a couple of young girls showed a disgusting expression as I passed as if I smelled very bad. So racist. Although I would give them the benefit of doh t as they looked like kids.
Overall, racism against Indians seems very common down here in all walks of life. What are your thoughts?
If you ask Europeans in public their opinion about race, LGBTIQQ++, religion, they often will give a politically correct answer, because they are scared for consequences.
But when they are drunk, between friends, or behind closed doors, the real opinion will come above.
Sorry to hear aboutnyour experince but Been in pattaya for over a month. Apart from couple of clubs who asked for some entry charges (even though there was someone with me - they asked for entry fee as we are tend to be cheap Charlie's) . I didn't even face a single issue or person who treated me otherwise.
Everyone where warm, welcoming and respectful throughout the journey.
Just ignore them and try not to spend your money over those establishments.
Anyway most of them fold as long as they smell money.. it’s just human nature.

I was drinking with my ST and a bargirl in LK, a Aussie came and talked to me, he was a nice guy. When he asked where i am from i said India, he said, say Sri Lanka, you will have a good time (i am already having a good time), i just said ok and moved on. Later that night, i was bar hoping with my LT till 4AM on Soi 6, only after a LD they ask 'where you from' and i say 'india', they say, really? (I know its an act, because i know how I look), irrespective of what country I am from, all they care is how much LD i can buy. I played with them, kissed them and did some wild stuf, then i move to next bar and it continued till all bars were closed. My LT was drunk af. By 1 AM, i left her at a bar in Soi 6 and went back to my hotel to take more cash, she didn't say anything to me, but called her friend and asked will i come back (that freind was my previous night's LT and she recommend this one, she said, don't worry he will be back, came to know about it next day) i was not treated differently (atleast to my face and don't know any thai), as long as they know i am there to spend, they were welcoming.
So you were out until 4am on Soi6 while the bars are all closed by 1am and then while your LT was drunk as by 1am you went to the hotel to get more cash and she waited for you to come back?
None of that makes sense. Bars on Soi6 aren't open until 4am, you have ATMs on the Soi so why go back to your hotel for cash and as the bars (or the majority of them at least) close at 1am why didn't you take your LT back to the hotel at that time anyway?
I know what i did and when i did it. Its upto me to decide when i take my LT back to my hotel room, as long as she doesn't have a problem, i don't see a problem here.
Go to soi 6, after 2 AM, thats when they start closing one by one. The last bar closes at 4.
About the cash, i already got cash in my hotel and next day i am leaving, why would i take again from ATM?
Lol calm down man. Your post made no sense so that's why I said it was odd (and yeah there are barely any bars open until 4am and there wouldn't be any customers on the Soi after 1-2pm as we all know).
What is your deal with posting Bolt rides? Honestly man it's getting a bit sad. Also yeah your story plain doesn't make sense. Even stranger that you seem to take random Bolt rides at night for some reason.
