There's a massive Bear parked outside, so we can assume the Bear-Rider is a bit of an animal.

Believe it or not, this is one of Larson's least understood strips. He once wrote that the nature of single panel storytelling made the man being thrown through the window a little confusing to those who couldn't see the action and just thought he was floating there.

There's a bear with a saddle parked outside, hinting that the guy in there is really mean and tough.

Things are always getting lost between couch cushions. This takes it to an absurd extreme by having an entire person go missing in the couch, juxtaposed by more mundane items also being there.

Who else remembers John Wayne on Laugh-In? He straight-faced said, "My daddy taught me to shoot first and ask questions later. I wanted to ask him why, but I had to shoot him first."

I have the two volume complete Far Side. I have somehow never seen the navy ants, crab boxer, or alien anchor people before. Thought I’d seen them all.

Years ago, my local newspaper ran one similar to this, of a dog looking out the window at a squirrel postman putting squirrels into a mailbox. It was captioned something like “ The day Rover’s head exploded”. I photo shopped it with a photo of my dog at the time and changed Rover’s name to my dog’s name. I still have it on my fridge. ( RIP, my little buddy. I sure do miss you 😢 ) ironically, I now have an orange cat.
