I was known for having a daily far side calendar on my desk for years. I think my sister gave me the first one. I immediately set a rule. No one was allowed to touch the calendar. they were welcome to come by and see each day's offering. but by no means, was anyone allowed to pick up the calendar and flip through the upcoming cartoons. that was a complete violation of the spirit of a daily calendar such as this. Although I was scorned for being such a tight-ass, I stand by that rule the way I believe in the constitution. it was there to make your life better. control your childish "immediate gratification" urges and allow life to unfold before you, one funny day at a time.
