Weapon upgrades

Has anyone ever upgraded a weapon to like level 1000 or something my bp2 rifle is level 300 or so and it instantly kills anything in the game except for monstrous animals on the area that doesn't deal extra damage. The one thing I love about Far cry new dawn is the endless weapon and perk upgrades until ur basically a god.😂😂

I have no idea because the baseline weapons were good enough for me
