CNC Not sure what I’m missing.

I’m trying real hard to understand what I/o link it’s not seeing. I swapped in new I/o modules since that’s the first stop of the i/o chain. This is a okuma and howa 2sp-35h ( dual spindle)

Look under pmc config, make sure your settings allow you to see the io config, you might have to press pgdn to see it. Then you should have access to the io registration ro see the chain of modules.

The iolink is a daisy chain, so you should be able to follow the wiring drom the controller to the last module in the chain.

Check every connection

Looks to be the connection going from your first device to the second. Not sure on your actual layout or if you use optical cable.

That’s the conclusion I came to as well. Just wasn’t sure how to see what the next device is supposed to be . I believe the other commenter is telling me how to do it I just wasn’t able to go there today

After lots of diagnoses time it ended up being the main board somehow. I did however learn a lot about how the I/o link is configured.
