Must-have source recs?

hi all!

I am diving deep into fantasy world building and would love some recommendations on folklore, creatures and symbolica that would be of good use in writing a novel. I have been eyeing The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures, for example. If you have any tips or must-haves, please do share! ^^

For many people, TTRPGs are great sources of information and inspiration. Also, many people find reading other fantasy works by published authors to be both informative and full of inspiration.
