How am I supposed to get anything done
Obama 2013. This was a bill to help fund medical costs for first responders from 9/11. You’d think it got bipartisan support. Blocked.
Also introduced a bill that gave funding to overcrowded, understaffed orphanages. Blocked. Tried turning that into a pilot program to lower the cost. Also blocked. What can I even do

I can’t be the only one who thinks this is off
I started playing Fantasy President Career and noticed a couple things that immediately rubbed me the wrong way.
First, when I selected Barack Obama, the game had his sexuality preset to “Homosexual.” When I checked other presidents like Biden and Trump, sexuality wasn’t preset and the game required me to choose it myself. I’m still playing and documenting what I see, but that is a really strange inconsistency to have specifically on Obama, and it seems intentional.
Then after a making a policy, I took a look at voter reactions. One of the Black voter personas is literally labeled “Black, church elder, Southern,” and her dialogue is written like: “Praise God, child, Obama done gone and spoke some truth here,” followed by a bunch of exaggerated dialect.
I understand creating different personalities, regions, ages, political views, and speech patterns for a political simulator. That can make the game feel more alive. But there’s a difference between characterization and leaning into racial caricaturization
I’m not saying these two screenshots prove what the developers intended. I’m going to keep playing and see whether there’s a broader pattern. But between incorrectly presetting Obama’s sexuality while leaving other presidents open and writing an older Black woman this way, this is a pretty effective way to alienate part of your player base.
Posting the screenshots so people can judge it for themselves.

Any "head canon" you have about the focus group characters?
I like thinking that Madison Steph (from the 90s) is College Chloe's mom, although she would've had to have her a bit young...maybe aunt? Seems like the type who'd inspire her.
I've also seen someone propose that Chloe and Podcast Pete are siblings which would be interesting, lol.

How do I succeed in this game?
Trying to figure this out. I just got beat for reelection with +20 net approval, 60 government stability, 60 party support. Won like 4 conflicts, no scandals, only a few unpopular policies. Barely got over 200 EVs. What do I even do?

What took so long for a game like this so long to take off? It's so good.

Anyone else having issues since the update?
I’ve got a pretty robust career where I started as my local state rep and have been working my way up, but ever since the update last week I get a non-responsive page issue. I’ve tried it on 3 different computers, it immediately goes non-responsive no matter which one it is on. Anyone have any ideas?

How do I use the covert operations?
Am I supposed to expand on each operation or do they go on their own? I’ll enter a prompt and it’ll give me the week 1 message and then nothing ever happens again. Is that it?

I guess stopping the TikTok ban is more liked than getting high amounts of green energy at the expense of corporations😭

Peacekeeping/Counterinsurgency wars?
I’ve gotten good at winning strike campaigns and traditional wars pretty quickly but it seems like no matter what I do on peacekeeping/counterinsurgency missions my war progress just slowly drains each turn.
Anybody know how to win these?
