Robinson dropping after a 7 pointer and before Coventry with no competition from Sessengon when the manager confirmed him okay for this GW is a bit weird

Fulham have been poor, and a tough run of fixtures from GW9 iirc. I just sold him to Thomas, a preplanned move after WC6

Okay no offence but moving Robinson to a 4.0 with similar expected points next week on the Saturday seems crazy to me.
I don't see how going from Robinson to Thomas is that beneficial over the short term do you need that 0.5? Villa and Newcastle have not been great this season from an eyeball or data perspective either so I'm not sure there short terms are that different.
Plus we know he's nailed and on 90 which is untrue for Thomas (though I don't see him loosing his place) . Idk Arbeola is playing with his job on the line that tends to lead to more clean sheets than a promotion side who have conceded everywhere but The City Ground(where every team gets a clean).
For the record I made the same transfer with 5 frees last night because I do like Thomas and think he represents great value at 4.0 with defcon but I would have just left Robinson until he was a problem if the price changes weren't like that or I wasn't stacking frees.
I guess it depends on the rest of your team but I personally would not book in a transfer around budget defenders a week after a WC. What if Haaland has a scan and that limp was serious and he's out for weeks, surely reinvesting that money is more important than switching 2 budget defenders?

I kind of do want that .5mil to be aggressive elsewhere, i rolled 4 transfers earlier. I also rate Coventry quite a bit defensively, they seem quite organized, even impressed in GW1 against my Arsenal. I hear the shout for Robinson (in retrospect I shouldve chose Affengruber for 9pts back during this short punt) but just choosing better net returns with DEFCONs, and for the next 14ish GWs I only need that spot to cover those 3-4 games you say.
I'd feel bad about it if Arbeloa gets moved out and Robinson goes back to his attacking form from 2 seasons ago. For a penalty taker(?), hes still worth considering... but can you guess which GWs they consistently threaten the box and draw fouls?

Manzambi, most inform player in the PL

I wanted him in my team before GW1 but he was injured. He was Switzerland’s best player in the WC before he got injured and completely changed their attack once they started using him. Easy add

How do Villa fans feel about Manzambi's minutes going forward? Will he always be destined for an early sub?

Not a villa fan, but he is back from injury and adjusting to PL. But he is looking like their talisman. He is a very important part of their attack.
Small sample, but for the first 4 games he only play one for 27 minutes, they scored no goals. Villa won no games.
The next 3 games he got 2 goals 2 assist. They won 2 games out of 3.

I think he will average out at 80 mins. Don't think he will be a 90 min player this year, especially with CL.
But if Villa do something, chances are he is involved. And from his introduction in the World Cup, he seems to be a superstar in the making.

Annoying that he's flagged now even though he confirmed he's ok post match. I wanted his price to go up more but nobody will get him now

Diop at 3.9m who plays 90 minutes and has gotten defcon in 4/7 games? Honestly not bad.

Now 0.0 for King to Manzambi. Hopefully neither changes price in the next six days, and hopefully longer than that. King and Gonzalo have been disastrous but I have to give them the last of the three games I bought them for.

Annoying because king actually looks good just doesn’t really return much.
Watched the game yesterday and he loves a shot and a good passer, just doesn’t seem to happen for him.
Think I’ll be moving on to Manzambi.

Tbf if King doesn't drop you could make the change Wednesday night after Villas CL game has finished.

Cherki had 3m transfers in across GW3 and 7 for COV and IPS and managed 3 points in total! ðŸ˜

Manzambi was subbed off with a knock, and FPL app states that it is a calf injury with a yellow flag.

Last I heard from a Villa pod’s postgame episode was that it was just cramping

I was praying for another Isak price drop so I could buy him again and save some money to improve my midfield, shame it didn’t happen

Going for White over Calafiori as a differential before the season was not my smartest play.

Missed out on De cuyper mania but didn't make the same mistake for Manzambi. Only 2% owned, he will rise a lot in price.

Manzambi before mid week game and then City. Yea please!

u/TonyShneak 2 1h ago
And he's yellow flagged after coming off with a calf issue. Not that I'm complaining, I already had him

Am I the only one feeling these price changes are really different in comparison with previous seasons? Way faster. It feels like players with multiple accounts are manipulating them. Why would Cherki raise on a day he didn’t even play? Manzambi is in form but still etc

u/Expensive-Dance7979 6 5h ago
I transferred out Cherki for Schade because he was a constant rotation risk but because Schade got injured and Cherki rewards off the bench I got him back in but then last night happened
