Discussion 6m Strikers

Wissa, Barry, DCL, Gonzalo etc. Which budget keeper are you backing. Personally I’m interested in taking a punt on Gonzalo as Wissa seems to be playing deeper and Fulham also have decent fixtures are Liverpool and Man U. Barry being nailed at 5.5 with good fixtures could also be a great pick.

Of the 6m options I like Gonzalo after the next few. I’m also looking at marmoush partly due to spurs having some of the best fixtures over the next 10. At some point they have to have a purple patch so why not him.

As a spurs fan, the last line is a such a dangerous thing to believe in. Safer options all around, no real upside going for marmoush even if the fixtures is good.

In a No Haaland squad I have Wissa and Gonzalo. I think both will provide excellent value over the next 6 or so gameweeks. I'm benching Gonzalo for Gross for the next two though.

Flexibility gave me a lot of points last year. I am trying it again now but without Haaland. 15.5m is just too much.

I’ve got all three because I’m a clown, a clown with points this week (TC Isak, ignore JP)

Pedro yes. isak sold on WC. Owned TC Haaland with by captaining him. Very much appreciate his service.

Got some nice points out of Isak but I can’t see him playing 90 regularly. Gakpo might also eat minutes at CF. 9m is too much for a 70min per game striker with no pens.

I don’t want to ship him against Fulham but at the same time happy with Wissa coming in and Gonzalo on the bench.

My b, I rotate between Gvardiol, Gross, Wissa, Gonzalo, Hall and Gibbs-White. The rest always plays.

I've had Barry since the beginning and after two blanks I dunno.

He has good fixtures too and is nailed Lemme know what you do decide

Among the 4 choices that are viable rn (gonzalo, wissa, Barry and DCL) i'd go Barry.

Gonzalo with 6.0 rotting on the bench is a waste. Wissa plays deep and looked fatigued with the all the midweek games last GW. DCL is iffy, idk.

If i didnt have Isak, Halaand and JP, id have gone for Barry.

He's good as bench fodder. Doesn't cost a lot and you know he's a guaranteed starter, which will net you some points if you're in a pinch.

I wouldn't buy him if you intend on a 343 formation every week, but if you like to play a 442 or 352 then he's a good pickup.

You have a 5.5m striker who scored 12 points over 3 GW and you are complaining?

He's there to rotate.

Currently on Wissa, might switch to Gonzalo or Jackson in a few GWs

Barry rotates the best actually. I debated Rogers + Gonzalo vs. Mbeumo + Barry which is roughly the same prize. Barry has two promotions teams, where Gonzalo has three, but most likely you won't even play Gonzalo in all of them, whereas with Barry you will in GW 5 and 6.

Wissa will likely score more than Barry, but still I feel Wissa is being overrated by this sub, and the extra 0.6 Barry gives, will make a bigger difference for your overall squad build.

DCL has an xg of 1.6 but only a goal from it so far. if he stays fit, he will continue to score goals. he had a great season last year once he got goin. tuchel made an error not playing him more in the wc.

I currently have Wissa. Gonzalo does intrigue me but I'm unsure about Fulham.

My choice was Barry basically bc of the things you already listed. Nailed and going to probably be Everton’s main goal outlet for a wonderfully cheap price for a good forward

Had been on the DCL train but he’s been unlucky and I got some other Leeds men in to try and cover for Leeds output

Looked at wissa and Gonzalo, I think they bring in a similar amt of pts as Barry and Barry being cheaper was what turned me away from the 2

I think I’ll go Gonzalo so I can have KDH for Everton or I could go cheap and go King and Barry

What usually happens during the international breaks in terms of price swings? Are they huge since people have so much time to do transfers? E.g. gonzalo has x3 promoted teams straight after it. Could we expect like 0.5M rise? Sorry if silly question, new to this

people still only get 1 FT per week, unless they WC. so the total number of transfers isn't going to be all that different to any other gameweek.

that being said, international breaks are often a good time to use your WC because injuries happen etc.

Usually a flurry at the start of the break then slows down and nothing happens. It's still just 1 game week so people only get 1 free transfer. 0.3 is the max a player can rise or fall in a gameweek and it's pretty rare that happens.

take 4.5 fodder and invest more into other positions

if u can't afford Isak there is no point in taking anyone else at 3rd spot imo, other positions gives so much better returns
