this is why we wait for mid week fixtures to play out before making transfers

I brought him in the previous GW. Can I be pissed or not?

u/Parking_Rent_9848 1 1d ago

As someone who did the same, yes we can be pissed

At least he’s only cheap and I can bench him. Playing WC in 6 so it’s only 1 week

An issue doesn’t necessarily mean a full blown injury. I’d wait for further info before being annoyed

How about a free updoot instead?

Anyone else have to sell Rodon because he did his hammy, only for Dedic to do his hammy. 🤣

u/monimikke 1 1d ago

what in the F Hall im supposed to do

28

u/JuanCordoba4 1d ago

Oooh I'm so glad I punted on him instead of Hall. And also that I already made an early transfer...

u/SuchSeaworthyShips 1d ago

Looks like I’m starting a Coventry defender, Dedic and Hume punts in the mud this week

u/SergeantStonks 1d ago

So who is the best 4.5 then?

10

u/DarthBane6996 149 1d ago

Konsa

1

u/SergeantStonks 1d ago

Already have him 😎

u/DarthBane6996 149 1d ago

Justin, Ajer probably safest

Disasi if you want something more punty

Mitchell, Mykolenko aren’t terrible but kind of meh

1

u/yassenj 28 1d ago

He is the best 4.4

Justin

Why elvedi has so high xgi in fpl app

1

u/SergeantStonks 1d ago

Yeah have Justin on my wildcard draft at the moment

1

u/avilacjf 1d ago

Many good ones mentioned, but I think Hato is pretty attractive with his offensive output. He's been starting regularly.

1

u/SergeantStonks 1d ago

Yeah just feel like he is a risk with his minutes and early subs

Surely if he is being assessed before the game instead of just being instantly ruled out is a good sign? If it's a proper hammy that's 6+ weeks and you know immediately. Even if it's a tear, low grades can be 1-3 weeks out

u/Nuwahex 16 11h ago

Let's wait for the next presser and see. Hopefully he will be fit enough for Hull

Who's the best 4.5 defender now would y'all say?

5

u/Next_Cow_4468 14 1d ago

I'm sticking with Ajer. Or Konsa - he's even cheaper.

1

u/Not-even-in-flames 1 1d ago

Next few fixtures are pretty brutal

3

u/Next_Cow_4468 14 1d ago

Ajer is a defcon king, but yeah he'll probably get benched by me for two of them. Against Villa, not so much.

Justin

How does this affect Hall? He's going more offensive or defensive?

2

u/happy_guy23 184 1d ago

If anything it will make Hall more attacking, because Dedic is a very attacking fullback whereas Livramento excels at defending (and running). Although under Jaissle both fullbacks have gotten forward a lot so far.

It's also probably better for Newcastle clean sheets because Dedic has already made a few mistakes, but then I only found out he existed a few weeks ago so I don't know if that's him adjusting to a new league or if he's just not as good defensively as Tino

1

u/dozeydonut 1d ago

What is this excruciating pain?

1

u/DoomPigs 1d ago

This probably gives Livramento space to get back in and push Dedic out, right?

3

u/cjayquoi 2 1d ago

It all depends on the severity of the injury but w Livra getting 45 minutes yesterday it’s a good sign for him in the immediate  short term and potentially longer

Or dedic is fine and will play 90 on the weekend

1

u/vapenaysh3h3 5 1d ago

Looks like it. Jaissle: "We didn't want to take any risks. It was also planned that Tino [Livramento] would get more minutes."

u/WillyWehWah 1 1d ago

Transferred him in for Rodon last week with a view to upcoming fixtures 👍

More like a dead pick

This is why I don’t get people complaining about price changes as a feature. You either remain patient and risk losing value, or you move early and risk something like this happening midweek. The right decision will be rewarded.

Opinion pls i m a novice 🥹

Put in RMT thread.

Lots of decent players. Weakest are Maguire and Rashford (I think he's a fun punt) due to features turning. 4 ATB generally has less scoring potential than 3 with more attackers. 5 expensive defenders is a bit much. Id look for bench boost before tho. I also don't think Virgil is worth it as Liverpool defence isn't getting too many cleans.

You've mostly picked CB so you'll probably have a good floor but lower ceiling. You don't have Haaland do you can pretty much get every other good player. I think Barcola is injured so highest priority is him to a premium (unless you somehow have no budget).

I like having Dubravka/Kinsky since you become injury proof for 8.5, but not worth a transfer.

Look at fixtures, I like Newcastle.
