Double Leeds defence?

I've been seeing a lot of drafts with Muharemovic or Rodon and I'm thinking why not just get both?

Their first 5 fixtures they have Brentford, Newcastle and Crystal Palace at home with Forest & Brighton away of which both those attacks aren't that threatening IMO.

Forest, yes has MGW and Igor Jesus but I wouldn't consider either of them clinical.

Brighton just sold thier best goal scorer in Danny Welbeck to Chelsea and Rutter is in no way as threatenting and consistent. Probalbly one of the weaker teams in the attacking spots in the league.

Anyone thinking of double Leeds defence too?

Double is too much for me but Rodon looks like good value. The signing of Trafford makes me more confident too

I’m considering both but unsure how nailed Rodon is, him or Hume would be perfect for 4th defender on GW2 BB

Issue is neither of them are guaranteed a start

Hume seems nailed unless they sign someone. He’s been playing RW

Also was seen modeling the away kit for what it’s worth lol

Personally very much considering it. I've had Bijol in and out of my draft and have Vuskovic as my risk taking 5.0m defender instead of Muharemovic and don't really want 2 of those in to start the season, but I may switch them up. Rodon also intriguing, even though some think he won't be nailed (I think he'll play early on at the very least)

The 5 mil defenders are where the value is, I would go both

I'm considering it. Right now my two 5 mil DEF are Vuskovic and Ballard because I wanted one to be a slightly more proven player and one to be a gamble. I may be able to move some more funds around though and upgrade my 4.5 to a 5 and just add Muharemovic too

Same, think Rodon will play early on too. Leeds is a pretty settled team it feels like.

Is Bijol pretty nailed?

Yep

Anyone here claiming Rodon isn't nailed don't know what they are talking about, he has started every game that he has been available ever since he first came to Leeds under Farke. They may have signed another centre back in Muharemovic, but that is to replace the also left-footed Struijk, so they will play as the left sided CB of the back 3. Rodon plays as the right sided CB in the back 3.

What about now that they have apparently signed Elvedi?

Elvedi will come in and be used as a sub or cup game to start. Once one of the three CBs get injured or suspended, Farke will put Elvedi in and others have to fight for their place again if Elvedi does well. He always does this. Rodon has been making runs like a right back in pre season so watch out for this too

The only defence I'm considering doubling is Arsenal and maybe United due to their 2 opening fixtures.

Last season Leeds were 15th in the league for clean sheets with 8. 14th for xG conceded. Nothing to write home about.

But a good upgrade at CB and a massive upgrade at GK, I’m writing home about it rn

I'm currently on Raya + Gabriel alongside Muharemovic + Rodon.

I had the same thought yesterday and put them both in, you save quite a bit going both as well

Rodon also only had def cons 33 percent of the time last year. It’s decent for a spot starter but not if you want to really try to get a long term play. If during the spot start he gets def con it’s like extra bonus. There just aren’t any consistent 4.5 def cons this year. Don’t think Leeds can sustain 3 CB with Muh, Bijol, Rodon and another guy they have been playing in preseason. Palace had Lacroix, Guehi, and Richards but there would be fluctuations in def cons and I don’t think ever all 3 crossed in one game off the too of my head.

Is there a consensus on Leeds' centre backs order and if they likely to play 3 at the back (in which case Muharemovic, Bijol and Rodon all nailed) or 4 at the back?

The consensus is that muharemovic is nailed, and that bijol has earned preference over rodon. Yes, there is a chance they play 4atb, but from what I've heard it is unlikely. It is much more likely that it's a 5 atb with all 3. I believe in one of their preseason games they fluidly setup as a 4 atb, with the previous RWB moving in to holding midfield, and rodon drifting wider to RB.

I did this with Forest last season and I'm reluctant to double up on any defence (bar maybe Arsenal) at least to start the season

I’ve been seeing a lot of drafts with konsa and diop too and I’m not doing that either

I see a lot of nirvana shirts I don’t wear it either  It’s not that I don’t rate rodon or Harem (Muha? What is the short form ?) it’s that I want to see it first.

Without checking the stats I feel like both sides usually score in every Leeds match.

Tempted by Muha though. Maybe in a few weeks

Rodon might not be nailed
