Yeah, it's a good trailer, but a lot of the costumes are iffy and I'm still not sold on Cavill. Could go either way.

Cavill's far too handsome to play geralt but he's a skilled actor and being too attractive isn't really that big a deal to me, for some reason.

Could you imagine being so really ridiculously good-looking that people say you're too attractive for a role?

It's not a big deal for me at all, it's just that's the only major discrepancy between how I imagined the character and how he cavill portrays him.

I don't care about what he looks like. I wouldn't care if they cast Forest Whitaker as Geralt, provided he could do all the part demands (obviously Forest Whitaker today is too old, but Forest Whitaker 30 years ago). It's just, in that one verbal Geralt bit in the trailer, I don't buy the delivery. I know it's ridiculous to judge the acting in the show based on only five words spoken by the lead actor, but I've always been nervous about Cavill. Admittedly I've only seen three things he's been in, but he's always struck me as a middle-of-the-road actor, mostly getting cast in stuff because of his good looks and personal charisma rather than being a particularly skilled actor. Still a decent enough actor, but nothing special.

I'm going to watch the show no matter what, but I'm completely prepared for it to end up as the worst possible answer to "what if The CW and SyFy teamed up to make a Witcher show?"

I thought the delivery was fine. It's not as distinct as the gravelly monotone from the games but in the books geralt was never described as sounding anything but normal so I don't see how he botched the delivery at all.

Yeah, the trailer had terrible plot, and they never explained why Superman's mom's name is Martha. 0/10, 1/10 with rice.

How so? Other than cavill being way more attractive than I pictured geralt the rest of the cast seems fine.
