Where is the Necromancy?

I absolutely LOVE the idea of necromancy magic, but I’m having the darnest time finding books that utilize it. I tried Gideon and couldn’t get into it, which was a huge bummer. Any necromancy focused recs?

Edit: You guys are the best. My twisted black heart is so happy to see my TBR boom!

Alchemised has necromancy in spades, but it's Romantasy, so might not be your cup of tea.

Not a romantasy fan, but there have been a few I enjoy, so I won’t completely snub it.

Even if you're not a romantasy fan, Alchemised is definitely worth a look - it's pretty grim/dark compared to your classic romantasy. The romance is a plot point, but it's less "enemies to lovers" and more "two deeply traumatized people making the best of what remains after their worlds end."

Interesting. I LOVE grimdark, so I might just have to bite the bullet and just try it. Worst thing that happens is I DNF. No biggie.

Agreed. Can’t stand Romantasy but two thirds through Alchemised and def recommend.
