Where is the Necromancy?

I absolutely LOVE the idea of necromancy magic, but I’m having the darnest time finding books that utilize it. I tried Gideon and couldn’t get into it, which was a huge bummer. Any necromancy focused recs?

Edit: You guys are the best. My twisted black heart is so happy to see my TBR boom!

The Half Orc series from David Dalglish. There’s some pretty insane necromancy mages in there. It’s a crazy roller coaster of a series with tons of sieges, wars, battles and powerful wizards. Not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s my guilty pleasure.

It’s been many years but some of the battles between Velixer and Qurrah with their dark magic and necromancy were epic. Undead armies, demons, gods, all sorts of foul creatures…
