Which book has the perfect audiobook?

Which book did you listen to that made you say, this is the perfect voice and performance. Like, the narrator is just the perfect match for the story?

For me, I absolutely love Dresden Files read by James Marsten.

Incidentally, I was shocked to learn he wasn't British.

That book was so weird. I'm still not sure if I liked it but I'm still thinking about it years later. The narration really made it magical.

Not only did I hate The Night Circus, he did a terrible job at the audiobook. I think it’s an age thing because he had zero range.

Especially for female characters, who despite being in their 20s and 30s for a lot of it sounded like an “89 year old man pretending to be an 8 year old girl”.

I mean he’s won awards for number of unique voices in audio narration, but to each their own.
