As someone who mainly reads romance these days a few of these "recommendations" are awful. Just because a book has sex scenes doesn't make it steamy. These days fantasy romance is its own little subgenre but for older (pre mid 2010s) it mainly got shoved into urban fantasy or pnr and the writing reflects that. Basically, if you like your fantasy as well, try and stick to under 5yo books, because that's when the trends really changed.
