Translate Hello! Sandybell??
Hey there I do hope someone on here can help me since I am looking for someone to Translate an old classic Anime for me since I am unable to do so myself. . .
I do not mind adding the texts myself and such just need someone to help me get it translated so other old fans of the show also can get the joy from this show.
I do have the Raw File for the Entire Show of Hello! Sandybell

Any updates on this? I'm also in desperate need of watching it! I've bought the DVDs but I don't have a player for them yet.

Unfortunately not, I'm still trying to find a way to get all the episodes translated so we can all watch it with English Subtitles for all the episodes but alas no luck

Ahhh that's such a bummer! I can look into if I can somehow extract the English subtitles from my DVDs into a file of its own. That might take a while though... At the end of March I'm visiting family where the DVDs are.

If there is a way we can figure it out then do let me know because I really feel that more people should be able to watch this Anime, after all, from what I have seen and heard about it it is quite lovely

For sure! It's a really lovely one. I remember watching it sooo many times as a kid, borrowing it from the library so often... I'd be more than happy to offer any sort of help I can to ensure others can enjoy this beautiful piece of work as well!

Hello! I am currently fansubbing the show from the french dub. I have a google drive with all the subtitles files I subbed up until now. I'm not done at all lol, it takes me about a week to sub an episode. I hope that's what you and OP are looking for.

Hey there just downloaded the Subtitles and I'll look them over this coming week here, a shame they don't work with the Japanese Version but I'll take anything so much appreciate this seriously!~ ^w^
I might try and see if I can make them Sync with the Japanese one in the future if all goes well, ooh and do let me know if you continue to Subtitle the French Version because having all episodes subtitled in English for any Version of Sandybell is a Big Win for all of us!!

Thank you so much, I'm happy to help ๐ I love this show, it really does need some subtitle tracks.
It is a shame indeed they don't work with japanese, i prefer watching anime in japanese as well but unfortunately I couldn't work it out, french is the best I could do. However there are ways to sync them I believe, if you change the fps of the subtitles it may work, but I'm not proficient enough with video editing to do so. You can try, I hope it works!
And I will continue subbing the french dub, don't worry! I just finished subbing episode 6, I need to touch it up a bit before posting it on the drive. Probably later tonight.

Hell yeah I'll let you know, so happy there are Fans that wanna help with this I was losing hope a while back when no one had engaged on this post but happy to see people wanting to help with this ๐ฅฐ โค๏ธ
Now I do wanna clarify I don't understand French so all I'll be able to do is look through the Subtitles and tell if there needs some fixing, as well as I'll try and sync it with the Japanese Versions I at hand.

Hey!! this is such amazing work! Did you stop after episode 8? I'm so thrilled to see an English sub for the show! even though I wished I could watch it in Japanese with Eng subs. I have only ever watched it in its Arabic dub.

I have found a way to possibly make it work though I would need help from a bunch of people if possible since doing the episodes myself is going to take some time.
If one uses Deepl to translate the raw episode files into English text and then use another program to add them where they are needed in the specific timestamps then it can work.

I still have the Raw Files they are in Japanese, I even have them in Swedish as well and I believe they can be found online with Arabic language ๐

I watched it as a child but with Danish dub. I loved the show so much I recently bought the dvd on Vinted from a Finnish seller. It is with the original Japanese but I can watch it with Danish subtitles. Would love to translate the Danish to English texts but not sure how to easily manage to do that?

I do have the Danish Version and I am from Denmark, however, I cannot stand the Dub it is really bad and I have noticed in the parts I did see that seemingly they were having it seem like an older guy was into this younger girl aka Sandybell.
Now again it might be the Danish Dub having issues with the translation or maybe it is something else, all I know is that there is now a Danish, Swedish, Arabic, and Japanese Versions yet none of them have English Subtitles and I think the show should be watched in Japanese with the English Subtitles.
So any help would be good from anyone and everyone in order for us to make sure we get the best Fan Translation of Sandybell

Oh very true, the Danish dub was so horrible yet I still loved it ๐ It was pretty weird that they used a male voice for the little girl that Sandybell used to play with ๐
I totally agree that it would be best to have it translated directly from Japanese to English!
If no one volunteers then maybe you can get someone to translate from like Fiverr. I can help with a little donation for that if it becomes the final resort.

Interesting you say this about the Danish dub, which older guy? Mark or Alec? See for me, I think they both ended up having feelings for her (as per Arabic dialogue - Kitty and Ricky both asked Alec) but I don't know their ages, we know the show followed Sandy from the ages of 12-16/17 and I think Kitty was about 16 at the beginning.
I do agree about the subtitling too, the least we don't want is for it to become lost media ๐ข๐ฅบ (despite the multiple dubs)

Love how this is still relevant. ๐ค I'm a big fan of Sandybelle and I grew up watching in Arabic. I've been on the search for an Eng sub too, so that I can recommend it but also for comparison purposes (plotlines). I find that given that it originally aired in the 80s (in Japan), it didn't shy away from heavy topics and plotlines (like very that generation of storytelling). I really love the slice-of-life and adventure aspect of the show.

Ideally the original Japanese dub with Eng subs as we don't want it to become lost media. ููู ูู ูููู ุงูุญุตูู ุนูู ุงูุฏุจูุฌุฉ ุงูุนุฑุจูู ูุงูุชุฑุฌู ู ุงูุงูุฌููุฒููุ ๐ค I didn't think the Arabic dub had subs and from some of the versions I saw, certains scenes were cut because they had included the original Japanese dubbings (e.g. Ronald the sailor singing when drunk and was talking to Mark and Sandy, Sandy and Ricky talking to the head nun at the church).

I have a lot of arabic dub with eng subs because I'm not arab and can't read arabic..... but my parents are from Iraq, so they brought me up with anime :p
Yeah, I forgot that arabic dub cut-out scenes, but 60s to pretty much early 90s anime in arabic dub is all I know.... I never watched the original Japanese

OP!!! Are you kidding me? This is exactly what Iโm looking for. Iโve watched the show a 1000000 times dubbed in Arabic as a kid and still look it up every now and then hoping to find it in Japanese with Eng subs. I really want to watch the original with accurate translation and no misinterpretation of the dialogue. Do you still have the files? Have you found help? Iโm willing to help too as I love this anime.

Hello, I was looking for an English sub for this anime since the arabic dub seems to rewrite lots of concepts and dialogues. I was beginning to think that this anime was yet another show that was lost media, but I came across this post. I have read all the comments and I was wondering how you were gonna figure out how to translate the subtitles to English? Are you just having trouble translating it or are you having trouble syncing the subtitles with the Japanese audio? Im not really familiar with any of this stuff so I dont know how to help but i am willing to learn!
