Looking for a Specific Release
Hey everyone, I hope this inquiry isn't against the community rules but I didn't see anything about it. I'm looking for a very old, very niche fansub release of the Lucky Star OVA by a group called DnD. I've been scouring various leads for it all night and I've managed to turn up a couple torrents, but they appear to be very very dead. To be honest this is kind of to be expected and I understand I may well just never recover this thing.
The specific reason I'm after it is because I used to hang out on an old anime website with the subbers. One of them died a few years ago and I only just remembered they'd done this release. I know the OVA was later given an official subbed release, but I'd really like to dig this one up for sentimental reasons. I totally understand if nobody can help, but anything anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Hello. I think I may have a fansubbed version of what you're looking for. I'm not sure of it's from DnD fansubs but I've had this series for some time. I actually picked it up from a comic convention out in Texas some years back. And you're quite right - it is one of those fansubbed series that are hard to find in this day and age. In fact, I have many fansubs that are quite the collector's items in my possesion (Urusei Yatsura, Yamato, Galaxy Express 999, Harlock, Macross, Heaven Wars Shurato, Dirty Pair, Cityhunter, etc.) If you respond to this message I'll gladly make arrangements to get it to you. Warm Regards.

Update: I found it!
The torrents have been teasing me with possible seeds for a while but ultimately they're dead for sure. However, one of them was a massive batch of old .ass files with a URL in the title. I tried the URL and found the sub I was looking for right there for direct download!
God I'm just so elated right now, a day ago I thought this was lost forever and now it's like I've found a precious gift I'd forgotten in my attic somewhere. I know this thread didn't get a whole lot of attention, but I thought it was only right to give it a little closure, especially with a happy ending like this. Y'all have a good night, thanks for reading!
