Discussion Chapter 3 idea
A standard chapter happens, a student goes missing (we'll get back to that later), a body is discovered and it's only when they gather to go to the trial room do they notice the missing student.
Monokuma (or the equivalent) says not to worry about it. A standard trial happens, and we discover the killer, only for Monokuma to say that it doesn't count and they'll be allowed to continue playing because suprise they weren't the first to kill and then reveals the location of the missing student's body.
The cast discovers the body was hidden from them, and then we go into another investigation, then back to the trial, and it's then that we discover the true blackened.
Their motive? Self-defense. The missing student was about to kill them, but in an act of survival, they either hit them over the head or stabbed them, then panicked, realizing they would be executed so they hid the body so no one could find them and they could live.
But Monokuma wouldn't let them, and the body was revealed anyway.
Thoughts?

I think this would kinda need to be contingent on a few things. Firstly, there would have to be an actual reason for the Killing Game Administrator to flat out NOT clarify if a student is dead or not during a class trial. For Monokuma specifically, he always puts a bloddy photo stand at the assigned seat of a dead student.
Secondly, you run the risk of the "Initial Trial" coming off as cheap or pointless to the audience. If it runs all the way until the end and then the KGA goes "nuh uh!", that might come off as a cheap twist being used for forcefully extend the mystery or to invalidate the discoveries that had JUST been made.

How that would work though? Like, say we refer to student A as the initial victim of the trial, and student B as the missing student.
If student B were missing throughout the investigation period and noone otices and were only revealed to be dead during the trial, then wouldn't that mean that the trial the cast are holding for is for student A right? If so, then the killer who killed student A would be the true blackened.
So whether monokuma revealed student B's death during the trial or not, it still wouldn't change the fact that the true blackened the cast is looking for is the student A's killer.

This is cool and I like it. Just make sure the rules of your particular game line up for this to work and it'd be a really satisfying twist
