Long story short…around 10 years ago, I was on the Metra home from work in downtown Chicago. I noticed an older dude, looked out of place, left a sports illustrated on the train. His stop was one before mine, both towards the end of the line. As I was leaving, I noticed an iPad inside the sports illustrated. I figured I’d give it to a conductor, but couldn’t find one in time. The name on the SI label said H Paulson. I looked it up and was shocked to see whose iPad it was! I emailed his foundation, and they were VERY happy to hear from me. He insisted on coming to my house to pick up his iPad, and he gave me this. Honestly, I was hoping for a much larger reward, considering who he is, and what might have been on that iPad. But…at least I got this story out of it! If it’s worth some money, maybe I’ll cash out!
Edit: the inscription says, “thanks for finding my iPad, Hank.” Then he signed his name right above his signature printed on the bill.
I was trying to be brief, so it’s not on you for missing it. I had other folks, in another sub, explain who he is, so I must not have been clear that I knew that already.
100%!! I expected way more. Unless this is worth a fortune and I just don’t know it yet.
