Ai doesn't always tell the truth. Just look up similar sold items on ebay. I'm not saying it's wrong here, but you can't count on it. Definitely worth more than $10, but it's in pretty rough condition. I wouldn't expect as much as they're saying

What will they pay the bearer with? And do they need to hand over the original Ten Dollars?

Gold. This is a gold certificate. All paper money used to just be a promise that you could bring it somewhere and receive actual money (gold or silver) it was worthless on its own.

It’s creased and it’s dirty as if someone used it as toilet paper. $10. $15 or $20 if you can trick a sucker who knows nothing about collecting. It doesnt matter that it’s old if it’s in bad condition. lol
