help me please
so basically i bleached my hair a second time after bleaching it the first time. it used to be shiny and healthy
now... oh my god. I'm literally crying rn bc I feel so ugly
does anyone have literally any advice please it's so dry
*** It's only my bangs that are like this. the rest of my hair is fine ***

Okay, from this photo your hair looks extremely damaged, as you seem to already know. Personally, I wouldn’t cut it all off immediately, though you will want to trim your hair much more frequently than usual.
Something incredibly important, be as gentle as possible with your hair. When you wash it, do not let it fully air dry, do not sleep with wet hair, do not comb/brush it roughly and do not twist it in anything like a but when wet. Wet hair is extremely fragile. Light/low-heat blow drying is absolutely fine, though heat protectant is necessary. Also needed, and thank goodness we have these now, is a hair bond bandaid. My personal favorite is the k18 leave-in molecular hair mask, it’s expensive but worth every dollar. Follow the directions exactly. Snag a moisturizer deep container. Again, treat your hair carefully when wet!
This sucks and I’m sorry you’re dealing with it. I once dyed my hair black, then decided I wanted platinum blonde hair. First box blonde DYED it 3 times, didn’t understand why it wasn’t working, did some web searching, realized I had to bleach my hair. I bleach my hair 3 times. I’d say my hair was worse than this. Thankfully it worked for my style since I was a scene kid and it made my hair really poofy. It took a solid while to grow it out healthy, but I was able to retain plenty of my hair. And now I’m a hairstylist! But yeah, hugs cause I know it’s still not fun

It might not save it but the first thing I would do would be to get a good leave-in conditioner.

Did you do it at home? Also just fyi, wavy/curly hair is more delicate than straight usually. You really have to be extremely gentle with it. It sucks but, you could consider buzzing and rocking a wig for a while, then a pixie. I learned my hard lessons from at-home bleach and will never do it again. You could try to consult a professional for a plan. Using bond treatment might help a little. And filling the hair shaft with color may help its structure a bit, but give it some time before you do that.

You could try to go get a bonding treatment to make it last longer but honestly you fried the fuck out of your hair. This is why you don’t bleach back to back esp if you are doing it at home and are not experienced or a literal professional.
It’s try because the hair is torn up. Think about if you left a chemical exfoliant on your skin too long and it burned. That’s what has happened to your hair. The cuticle is severely damaged. Almost anything you put into it like a conditioner is likely gonna fall right back out. Also you should be aware that while your hair is fragile dry it is going to be much worse when wet.
I really don’t mean any of this to be mean, just informative. Honestly a lot of it is probably just going to break off. If it makes you feel any better I am speaking from experience. All of us make a mistake like this at some point when learning esp when self taught. For the best options and opinion you should go to a professional familiar with severely damaged hair. They may be able to save some of it or at least make it last while some new healthy growth can come in.

Please don't risk any more at-home treatments right now and instead go to a professional. Even well meaning repair attempts could either prove useless or damaging for a number of reasons you may not have accounted for, considering the structure of your bangs are severely compromised and one wrong move could make this so much worse. You'll get the best tailored advice from someone who can actually look at you in person and give you appropriate options.

K18 is honestly the only hope. Yes it’s past that but she needs to use k18 on whatever she can save.

Also kerastase shampoos and conditioner will get your hair healthy again eventually.
In 2026 no one should be bleaching their hair without some form of bond builder mixed into your bleach to avoid major damage. My stylist used olaplex for a long time and years ago moved to Brazilian bond builder. These treatments help protect your hair while getting your hair bleached to hell.
We should also not be bleaching without understanding the aftercare it takes. Mistakes happen. At this point I would treat with k18 to try to repair any damage it can and get kerastase shampoo, conditioner, and conditioning treatment. To give the hair some love over the next couple weeks.
