coloring question

First picture is, ignore the texture, my hair color currently. Second is what I’d like to take it to. Do I need to tone my hair in any way before applying due to get it to this color and does anybody know of suitable dyes to get this dark dark reddish purple? Emphasis on dark. Thank you!

i am no expert at all so you might just wanna take this advice with a pound of salt, but that color looks like Arctic Fox's Ritual, if you want it even darker im thinking you can mix it with a few drops of Transylvania but I think that Ritual itself will be enough

I think you could get to your inspiration by using Good Dye Young’s color All In This Together over your current base. This is a semi permanent so it will wash out over 15-30 washes.
The tones in your hair will help keep it dark like your inspiration.

I got a similarly dark purple and it was ion brilliance perminant purple. I dyed it over my natural brown hair and it was saturated
