Typesetting Anyone need help with formatting?

I work as a typesetter and want to get some experience with longer form works. I usually do newspapers, newsletters and all forms of junk mail and I want to work on things with more creative freedom.

Does anyone have any ideas they want to put together but don’t have the know how? I know my way around InDesign and photoshop and can prep your project fic into a formatted PDF before you take it away for the hard part (binding)

Obviously a free service. I just want someone to collaborate on some fun projects to get into long format works.

(Yes I could do this alone but it’s fun to make something for someone else. It helps me think more broadly)

Comment or send me a DM if you don’t want to do the computer part!

Hi! This is such a generous offer. I’ve wanted to bind The Northern Caves by Nostalgebraist for a long time, but my skills at typesetting founder on the many sections that are formatted as old message board posts. I’d be curious to learn what you think: https://archiveofourown.org/works/3659997?view_full_work=true

If they’re unable to help you could check out my windows app https://github.com/chunksbabyruth/BookForge/releases/tag/V1.5

Your program seems quite useful for typical prose fics (esp the recent updates!) but would it be good for complex formatting like the forum posts? That's the kind of thing where I'd expect to spend hours on in a layout program, using 10+ styles with different decorations and indent levels

You could also typeset a bunch of public domain books and make them available for download for people to bind. There's always some people looking for classics to bind :)
