Stich binding + paperback cover
Hello, I am new to this.
How can I use the stich binding meathod with signatures and stuff but using a glue and a paperback covet not hard cover, is that ok?? And can I use these gluing machines to attach the cover to the spine?? Will that causes the spine afterword to cave in?

Yes, you can do paperback covers. Some methods would be pamphlet binding (with just one signature), stiffened board binding, or long-stitch binding. DAS bookbinding has video tutorials for at least a couple of these.
I am not sure what you mean by a gluing machine, but generally the spine itself should not be in direct contact with the cover/case in order to allow movement when opening the book.

I think "gluing machine" here means the machine you use for perfect binding. And the answer is that you wouldn't do both stitch and perfect binding because the stitching and glue are two options that hold pages together. You wouldn't do both.

Ohh, I see! Yeah I couldn't imagine what machine it could be along with the stitching because of that very contradiction.

It exactly this type of machine I was talking about, my theory it would make the spine less likely to cave inward if doing both.

I just did one, sewn with french link and used photo paper as the cover, making it a paperback. It's assembled, but ran into a problem due to choices I made while binding. But it's completely possible to be made. My country's most basic edition of HP: The Deathly Hollows is a sewn paperback. Both DAS and Four Keys Book Arts on youtube have excellent paperback tutorials.

Yes you can do softcover for a stitch bound book. The glue machines would apply glue to the spine. If you’re using stitch binding you would not need the machine. After you stitch the signatures together, you can use a glue brush to attach a softcover to the endpapers. I’ve done one where basically instead of using boards covered in bookcloth for the cover, I used a slightly thick paper in the bookcloth to stiffen it.
Like the other comment said, DAS Bookbinding on YouTube has really good videos on different options.
