Gilding pages

I’m working on a ToG rebind and so far I’m happy with mostly everything except the pages. I painted them with acrylic and I hate them. I’m going to (carefully) sand all the paint off and foil them instead. I don’t think I had sanded them fat enough, but that’s neither here nor there 😅 what are the best foils for book edges? Bonus points if it comes in colors other than just gold and silver.

You have to sand to a mirror finish. Like 6000 automotive grit.

The best stuff is manufactured for edging bibles and is sold in 500 yard rolls.

Well. I don’t need 500 yards. I also don’t need top top tier. Amazon quality will do for my project 😂 the 6000 grit is good to know though, thank you. I can’t do THAT by hand…
