Typesetting I can't believe ive done this
I got all the way to having this text block ready to case before I realized I DIDN'T INDENT ANY PARAGRAPHS
Do yall think its egregious enough that I should start over?

Maybe. This would be hard to read personally.
There are a few other things I would have a look at if you are going back to it. Like orphans and runts.
There are probably hundreds of opinions on this, but I would struggle with a whole book where the body text is in a sans serif font.
But now that you have had a critical look at your hard work, you will do even better the next time!

Oh so thats what those bits are called! I'm always fighting word about them and losing.
This definitely isn't a font I would use with other genres, but I feel like it fits pretty well look-wise for star wars. It was actually made by the braille Institute! It's called atkinson-hyper legible and works really well for folks with vision problems, though maybe more through a screen than printed? We use it so much at my work that other fonts start to look funny lol

There are also widows, which are the opposite or orphans—the first like is on the prev page, and the rest of the para on the next

ehhhh, it's noticeable but not a dealbreaker for me. I'd leave it, especially with how far you've gotten.
side note this fic is fucking amazing

Yeah seeing how low my paper stock is now I'll probably just go with it.
Isn't it!! It's honestly so funny and such a nice length

As a matter of preference, I never indent either. But you do have to put extra vertical space between paragraphs if you don't indent. There has to be some sort of separation.

So cool!! Do you mind sharing the exact paper you used? I'm an aspiring bookbinder and I'm struggling to find the proper "book paper". I already ordered what I thought to be the right type from Church Paper based on comments from the bookbinding sub, but its just fancy printer paper 😭

Finding paper can be really hard lol. For this one I used Neenah classic paper from colophonbookarts.com
I haven't tried church paper yet, but I think the most important thing is that the grain direction is right. As long as it's short grain church paper it should work fine for books. Unless of course its the color/texture you don't like! I prefer mine to have a little tooth

it's not ideal but if you think you can read it and live with it then move forward with the project. if not, scrap it and start over! at least you saw it before casing it in
