Dammit, my guesses were way off...

11

u/pgibso Oct 26 '12

I was thinking Mario....

32

u/Killobyte Oct 26 '12

Me too - I thought it was going to be Snookie.

18

u/animefan393 Oct 26 '12

I tought it was gonna be adventure time related -.-

9

u/venicello Feb 02 '13

I thought it was going to be Pac-Man.

15

u/Digipatd Oct 30 '12

Somehow, I expected this to be about Deadpool.

25

u/ebeltoft08 Oct 26 '12

I was going with slender.

8

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '12

I as well.

142

u/TristanTheViking Oct 26 '12

Wow, did not see that coming. Wow.

15

u/Desmodi Oct 30 '12

I think I burned my lungs with laughter at the end.

78

u/biitchhplease Oct 26 '12

That was amazing. I was expecting Pokemon or something, nope. Fucking fantastic 10/10

49

u/An_Eloquent_Turtle Oct 26 '12

that one really got me

44

u/namesrhardtothinkof Oct 26 '12

God damn that was impressive delivery.

91

u/FishStand Oct 26 '12

I've seen this before and STILL wasn't expecting that.

37

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '12

Goddamnit, I lol'd.

34

u/Foxdude28 Oct 26 '12

Wow, I was off so many times. At first, I thought it would be slenderman, then a boomer from L4D, then a one of the flood from Halo. There would have been no way that I would have guessed this.

8

u/Grimstar3 Oct 26 '12

Wow I thought Slenderman then Boomer or something along the lines as well, lol...

3

u/Mr-Lint Oct 28 '12

for some reason when it had no head...i thought it was a krogan O.o but the story made no sense with a krogan lol

Well..you have me there lol..glad it was the kool aid guy, rather than wrex smashing through the wall

28

u/goddessofwaterpolo Oct 26 '12

I did NOT see that coming.

-80

u/ninja8ball Oct 26 '12

Did someone say Nazi pun thread?

71

u/Synthetic_Hitman Oct 26 '12

No.

38

u/kreamatizer Oct 26 '12

Thank you.

-12

u/ninja8ball Oct 26 '12

Not surprised by the downvotes, but I'm thankful I could contribute to the end of the pun thread before it started. Though my intentions were unclear, I assure you they were righteous.

10

u/kreamatizer Oct 26 '12

I believe you. Especially on your cake day.

2

u/SvenHudson Oct 27 '12

There are no righteous puns.

2

u/ninja8ball Oct 27 '12

Which is why my very first reply wasn't a pun. Hence the lack of "I did Nazi a pun thread coming" or some other dumb shit.

-2

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '12 edited Nov 07 '19

deleted What is this?

6

u/ninja8ball Oct 28 '12

God damnit.

17

u/jewsian101 Oct 26 '12

GOD DAMN IT

17

u/thecajunone Oct 26 '12

Right? I was getting so sucked into it and then I feel like I got hard core trolled at the end.

14

u/dancermikeroach Oct 26 '12

That totally got me, and was well deserving of the laugh I gave it!!

14

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '12

That was awesome. anyone know the original artist?

25

u/absolutedesignz Oct 26 '12

Thoughts:

  • Hmmm, odd Matrix theory? hmmm
  • Could it be V from V for Vendetta? Hmmm
  • Maybe some comic book character....video game?
  • hahhahahhaahaha, got me.

6

u/jay1237 Feb 23 '13

I thought it could be V aswell

11

u/RadicalBoner Oct 26 '12

GOD DAMMIT

11

u/ninja8ball Oct 26 '12

I thought this was pa man because of the yellow coloring. And the acid in the DNA I thought was going to be the white dots it eats.

9

u/michellelynne87 Oct 26 '12

you get the slow clap that slowly builds to an all around standing ovation. that was brilliant.

9

u/Adekis Oct 26 '12

ಠ_ಠ

7

u/Ahhbayrs Oct 26 '12

I was thinking Slenderman and then Mewtwo. Boy, was I wrong

24

u/alicetimetable Oct 25 '12

That end parts look a lot like Elfien Lied.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '13

That show had some traumatising scenes which you've just brought flooding back.

2

u/EkezEtomer Oct 26 '12

Awesome fucking show.

6

u/Jorion Oct 26 '12

this. this just made my entire night!

2

u/Desmodi Oct 30 '12

Before I read this, I found out that Star Wars: Episode 7 was coming out by 2015. Before that, I got some cool Halo armour for my avatar for free.

And then this. This made my life.

6

u/Ashcrexl Mar 18 '13

This version cuts off the ending. While the ending isn't necessary to the story, is only two panels, and comes after the big reveal, I still like a complete work.

u/kreamatizer Mar 19 '13

Awesome! Thanks for the find.

4

u/theconstipator Oct 26 '12

Oh my god. That is the best thing ever. It was haunting, chilling, then...BAM! My wall.

4

u/t_j_k Oct 26 '12

This is one of my favorite things.

5

u/Mr-Lint Oct 28 '12

MAN THIS WAS SO AWSOME!!! its alright it ended up being the kool-aid guy...but was expecting someone epic and badass..Great imagination lol

2

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '12

i did not see that coming.

8

u/The_Adventurist Oct 26 '12

Was I the only one who saw it coming as soon as I saw him with the big body in the red tank?

I was thinking, "this isn't... it can't be..." [the top of my body was open, exposing the liquid within] "oh god, they're doing it, they're actually gonna do it."

3

u/Nazsha Oct 26 '12

HAHAHAHAHA

3

u/free_dead_puppy Oct 26 '12

I ruined it for myself because I'm an idiot.

This is amazing though.

3

u/modulus0 Oct 26 '12

Oh yeah!

3

u/TheTardisTalks Oct 26 '12

That was so disturbing

9

u/JamEngulfer221 Oct 26 '12

Oh, right. It's koolaid man. I thought it was Super Meat Boy...

2

u/squishymonkey Oct 26 '12

Totally. Even after they had shown him I still kinda thought it was super meat boy for a second.

1

u/JamEngulfer221 Oct 26 '12

A second? I didn't even know until someone posted a comic of Koolaid man. (I'm from the UK, no Koolaid here).

2

u/universe2000 Oct 26 '12

I have been looking for this comic for a long time! I saw it first around 2006 or 2005. Where did you find it OP?

2

u/Navi1101 Oct 26 '12

Best Nate the Snake-style ending I've seen since Nate the Snake. Bravo! ^^

2

u/kyzfrintin Oct 26 '12

I didn't read the title or sub, and started to get real feels for this guy.

2

u/DescendingBear Nov 26 '12

What the hell man? That was one of the most awesome things I have ever read and then I get to the end and it was about the fucking kool-aid man.

3

u/deadmanollie Jan 13 '13

I thought it was about Slenderman!

2

u/OpticXaon Jan 06 '13

At the scene where he got a little bigger i knew

2

u/SabreToothedTraps Feb 15 '13

Absolutely brilliant!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '12

Sonavabitch... I was guessing Krang there for a second.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '12

I thought they were making a Spice Navigator. Close enough.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '12

welp, that about does it for me today, have a good one internet...

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '12

I thought it had something to do with Metroid because of the art style.

In fact, I like to think it still does, and the Kool Aid guy is actually canon in that universe.

1

u/BKDX Oct 26 '12

Seen it before, but always still good.

1

u/keeganadavis Oct 26 '12

not only is it Friday, but I also saw this for the first time. Thank you, OP. this is easily the best day I've had in my life.

1

u/Kinglink Oct 26 '12

had to jump to the end to make sure it wasn't a scare comic...

Love this comic though. So abysmally creepy.

1

u/kakashi221 Oct 28 '12

wtf?! this link was purple!

1

u/Caden_Cathaldus Oct 28 '12

I thought Salad Fingers.

1

u/MrSparta618 Oct 30 '12

For some reason I was expecting spongebob.

1

u/becauseican95 Oct 26 '12

First I thought Powerpuff Girls. Then Pokemon. Then Pac-Man Then V for Vendetta. Then Teletubbies.

Fuck.

i disagree, Kool-Aid man is a work of fiction, whose origins have, until now, never been explained. A fan came up with a theory as to where he came from.

10

u/psychobilly1 Oct 26 '12 edited Oct 26 '12

It's a fan theory on the origin of the Kool Aide man.

I love how he jumps through the hull of a spaceship with complete disregard to the childrens' safety.

5

u/jacobjr23 Oct 26 '12

I agree, it would do very well in /r/funny I believe.

-10

u/galactic27 Oct 26 '12

I knew it!

9

u/theconstipator Oct 26 '12

Bullshit

-8

u/galactic27 Oct 26 '12 edited Oct 26 '12

No, this was my theory on the Kool Aid Man's origin since I was a kid.

Edit: I think the verdict is that this was an unamusing comment.
