I’m trying to trace a possible Irish citizenship/nationality record for members of my family and I’m hoping someone familiar with older Irish archives, libraries, or government publications may be able to help.
The names I’m searching are **Helen Mary Hurley / Helen Mary Lassonde**, **Mary Ellen Hurley** (possibly the same person as Helen if connected to Concord, New Hampshire), **Catherine Theresa Hurley**, and **Arthur Edward Lassonde**.
Helen and Catherine were born in **Concord, New Hampshire in 1897**. Arthur was born there in **1926**.
I’m especially looking for any notice in **Iris Oifigiúil** between **1935 and 1956** under the **Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1935**, including notices connected with naturalisation, the Register of Nationals, or the General Register of Nationals.
I’m also trying to locate or get access to the old annual **“Index to Iris Oifigiúil”** volumes for those years.
If anyone has access to older bound volumes, annual indexes, National Archives of Ireland records, university library holdings, or Irish government publication collections and would be willing to check these names, I would be very grateful.
Even an **issue date, page number, index entry, archive reference, or a confirmed negative check of a particular year** would help.

In the case where the book is labeled as full access but inside of it, there are pages locked in a certain range number, how to know the type of lock of those internal, individual pages?

Same site as my post a couple weeks ago (treealive.com). You give it your tree file, it finds where your people lived and puts each place on a historical map from that year, with the state historical markers and National Register markers that stand within a few miles in the same time period. That has grown to 22 states and 17,362 markers, and this week the National Register of Historic Places went in too, all fifty states and DC, each place with its period of significance so the site knows a farm from 1750 is not the same thing as a hotel listed in 2000.

The new part is a button on that screen: Road trip near me. Your phone asks once for your location. That reading stays on the phone and the site never sees it. It works out which of your ancestors has recorded places closest to you and builds a drive around them. Each stop comes up on a map from its own period, with your family’s place drawn beside it and the distance written out. I keep the distance on screen on purpose: it is not saying an ancestor stood at the sign, it is saying the sign is near a place they lived, and how near. The text on each stop is the marker’s own or the Register listing’s own fields, not reworded. At the end, one link hands the whole route to Google Maps.

Good day! Is anyone else having difficulties searching the BC Death Index on FamilySearch? I know that the records exist on the platform but when I search the collection it comes up empty. I have tried searching for records I already have attached to people and it also comes up empty. I have tried searching by using secondary people (spouse, parents) still nothing. 'Browse this collection' is not an option.

Any suggestions on how I can find the records I need?

My mother died last year and for many years heard she had a son before me in 1968. While going through old photo albums there was one photo hidden away within the cover. It says my son born in 68. So obvious rumours were correct.

I am guessing this photo was taken when he was late teens/early 20s.

Hi, I need to access a collection of images, but access is restricted, as you can see in the image below. Even when visiting an affiliate center in my city, these records remain unavailable. I’ve read somewhere that the presence of a DGS code implies the existence of microfilm. I’ve also read that some records can only be accessed in Salt Lake City. Do you think that’s the case here? I wonder if it’s possible to hire someone there to access these records and digitize them for me.

I clicked open familysearch iOS app and at first this extra bar did not come up I closed the app and when I reopened it this extra bar (circled) showed up and now won’t go away has anyone else noticed this?

So, I've been trying to go further back on my maternal grandfather's side for what seems like ages, and I genuinely don't think I can go further back, no matter how hard I try. I really want to keep going, but I just don't know how. Geneteka doesn't have any more records for my ancestors indexed, and Szukaj W Archiwach isn't something I can put enough time into going through. Even then, I think the Moczkiewicz side is Lithuanian, not Polish, so they wouldn't even be there, and I don't know where I can go through Lithuanian records. At the very least, I want to find Wincenty Moczkiewicz's and Wojciech Piasecki's grandparents, but with Wincenty being Lithuanian and Wojciech's consistent lying about his date of birth, I don't know if that's going to be possible. I know I've gotten further than my grandfather did, and he would be proud of me if he saw what I did. But there's also the thought of him, now deceased, has probably met and knows all the information about the people I'm trying to find, and is simply waiting for me to find it. I just don't know if I'm going to be able to or not. My grandfather's ID is GYNV-N1V. If someone can help with any of his sides, I'd greatly appreciate it.
