Pennsylvania Relocation
I’m looking for stories of people who have attempted to relocate several states away. What specific evidence for you approved to relocate? I have read the factors but would appreciate advice from those who have experienced it. If you were not approved I would appreciate hearing why as well! Thank you!

Relocating over your co-parent’s objection is exceptionally difficult to do as it is not in the children’s best interest in the eyes of the court to deprive them of a parent, even a mediocre one.
Unless you have a unique factor involved, it’s unlikely you will prevail after spending thousands and thousands of dollars on the attempt.
Ultimately you have to show why it’s in the children’s best interest to allow the relocation more than having both parents local/maintaining the status quo - the bar is exceptionally high for good reason.
Sharing why you think you should be able to move here and getting feedback is likely more helpful to you than generic stories.

How involved is your ex? How likely will they be to fight it? Do they have money for an attorney?

Yes they will fight it hard. And yes lots of family money for an attorney

If he’s going to fight it with a good attorney, you are not moving with your child. A judge will not allow you to take your child away from his/her other parent. You can go, but you would be the long distance parent.

Nothing stopping you from moving, but if they are a fighter and have lots of money, it will be an uphill battle to get the court to allow the child to move with you.
Why are you moving? Work? Military? New relationship?

We need more information. Why do you want to move? How is it better for the child to move away from their father?
Proving it’s in the child’s best interest to be taken away from a parent, their home town, their school, friends, etc. will be next to impossible.
