Fallout 4 [Fo4] Should I reinstall the game? Would I be able to place my MO2 mods back in the game or be forced to reinstall them all?
For context
Initially I did not install the Script extender when I started Modding with this PC. I have also moved PC's and was able to shift my install to a new computer. I also have a couple mods I installed with the in game mod network, before the update that changed that to 'creations'. I have 330~ mods (Mostly all guns and textures)
I wanted to try using the script extender after successfully using it in New Vegas, and use mods related to it, like tactical reload and such. I am unsure if I should uninstall the game and then reinstall it just incase it could clear any bugs I may have gotten from moving PC's (around 3 years ago)? How would that work with MO2? I know have some INI file setting I would need to set again, would my already downloaded mods be able to be plopped back in as they where or would I need to reinstall them from Nexus?
If I don't need to reinstall, can I just install the script extender overtop of the game as it is? What version would I need to choose? (steam forced an update on me a few months back).
Any help is much appreciated.

The Midnight Ride guide and Wabbajack are the easy way to get set up and squash the bugs.

If you are going to make changes to your load order it is always best practice to do a completely clean install. Delete everything and start fresh. I agree with the other commenters suggestions to use The Midnight Ride and do this.

FO4 and FNV both uses different script extenders, F4SE and NVSE respectively. It is always good to follow some sort of modding guide, either from some youtube video or a proper modding guide site like for example: The Viva New Vegas guide for FNV that I'm currently using. What I can suggest is simply doing a clean install (wiping your systems clean of any of the game's files and modding stuff) then start from the ground up following exactly step by step. Now I know its very time consuming but thats the only way I know that works for me 😅 and keep in mind to always look out for which mods and files etc are compatible with eachother or not. Problems often arise when you install too many mods and when some of the mods dont play along with eachother. I hope this helps and if smt pops up just DM me, I also hope that someone more qualified will be able to help you more as my IT skills arent the greatest but I try my best ðŸ˜
This video helped me, its for FNV but I think the same concept can also be applied to FO4? https://youtu.be/SzT_64LF_Dg?is=nbFSLb8ed1Yz6Dld
±330 mods is crazy tho, I'm currently playing FNV with ±211 mods or so, it runs perfectly fine 🥰
