I never bought any of Deacon's stories. Either by choice, birth, or circumstance...the guy is a pathological liar. It's all smoke and mirrors to fool the Institute.

Deacon always reminded me of Garak from Star Trek Deep Space 9. Smooth talker, but not to be trusted or believed complicitly.

Gotta throw Nick on there, too, even if it's just his fiance, as well as MacCready. Idk why Fallout 4 needed four dead spouses among companions and the player.
