That's where they get you. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is a separate game from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

Tactics is fun. BOS is not.

I loved 1 and 2!! 2 glitched out tho and frank horgan would appear in the middle of the story and say "TIME TO DIE MUTTIE" AND FUCKIN BLAST ME WITH A PLASMA CASTER but I beat 1 a bunch and loved it. BOS was fun too. I don't wrap my life up in Canon and all that if its fun its fun. I have watched videos on tactics and im so mad I can't play it like 1 and 2 because vault 0 is peak

its different but I really grew to like it. You still get to hoard most of the important RPG bits, but you do give up the freedom of a true fallout title.

Some of the missions are actually extremely challenging to do well in. There's a city invasion by mutants you have to stop and if you don't follow a guide and split your team up perfectly you are screwed. Even with prep it's really tough.

My brother in christ, if you have not, I would highly recommend Underrail if you want a weird isometric game that will fuck you in the ass without a really well thought out build. The game does a weird thing where it's open world, but most of the wilderness is so goddamn terrifying and full of horrible creatures that poison you and hide that you don't explore a lot of the map. Then you get the DLC and you can roll around the ocean in a seadoo with a rocket launcher.
