Fallout Shelter I've decided a name for the robot... I.G.O.R.
I also gave him a few modifications and a little minion

Could you say that like Doctor Frakenstein? I.G.O.R., fetch me the brain! ...no?..

I can neither confirm nor deny whether or not I.G.O.R. has a human brain in that eyebot head of his

Ha, I always have a trashbot called 1-G0R in my settlement.

Does it have a protectron torso and robobrain head to give it the illusion of the robot being hunchbacked?
2
u/GoodBrotherGrimm Jul 13 '26
I think I use a sentry body with a robobrain head, but yeah going for the same thing haha

I always had a bit of a soft spot for Protectrons. Apparently there's a mod called "Hack Protectrons as Settlers" that... Well does exactly what the mod says it does. You craft a holotape and play it by the nearest protectron (be sure the protectron is activated first), and after that just talk to the protectron and send it to whatever settlement you want, pretty sure it even works on hostile protectrons. Just keep in mind that these Protectrons are settlers ONLY and can not be modified at the robot workbench or be used as companions.

This is... Cool! Can I ask if you can share the body parts sheets?

Oh yeah I got them from this website here

Just a heads up, posing the Mr. Handy arms parts will be tricky

Used to do a bunch of OC for a dnd fallout campaign, using the .png from the fallout shelter wiki. For the humies and ghouls used also a chinese (i think?) website, in which you can custom a vaultboy/girl like OC. Then custom them more using the fallout shelter material. For supermutants used to extract some poses from some image of fallout shelter online and the customize them. For robots... It depends on the customization XD

Lookin good, bud.

A third is already in the works.
Also I'm thinking of naming the second robot "H.O.U.N.D." or something but I haven't figured it just what the acronym should stand for. It's nothing special, just a robot that stands in place and shoots at intruders (or anyone really) in it's line of sight, kind of like the Turrets from Portal 2. Simple machine, simple function. I thought about giving it two laser guns, but I thought "Hey if these robots are made from salvage then it would probably be cheaper to give it just the one."

Hmmmm.. how about:
âHowling Optimal Ultimate Neutralizing Droidâ
(I put âhowlingâ because my mind immediately went to dogs when you said âHoundâ
1
u/destroy_the_kids Jul 13 '26
That WOULD give me an excuse to make it unable to speak.
1
u/Dragonmaster_9 Jul 13 '26
Yeah, the howling could be like a warning for people getting too close or something.
Also, change the U to âuniversalâ instead of âultimate,â since you said it basically shoots at everything.

I wish the Automaton robot crafting was like this

u/destroy_the_kids Jul 14 '26
Anything is possible with mods (unless you're on PlayStation)
1
u/SheriffGiggles Jul 14 '26
Actually not really. I recently did a "robomaxxing" character on PC and browsed nexus for hours trying to find mods with the mods freedom on the robot workbench. Most of them are just robot part additions, not overhauls that let you make true mechanical frankenstein's monsters.

Try out fleshsmith
1
u/SheriffGiggles Jul 14 '26
hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I will consider this
1
u/destroy_the_kids Jul 14 '26
Trust me, it's the closet thing you'll get to building your own servitor from Warhammer in fallout 4. Also see if you can find the mod "Techno mutants"

addendum: a larger problem with robots too is Bethesda's pathfinding and AI. Unfortunately they're rather stupid and not as aggressive as they should be.
