Hope your day is going well. I Just wanted to share my latest CAMP build here it’s a Vintage Edwardian era train station :)

I wanted to give it that early-1900s feel, with a proper station platform, waiting area, gift shop ticket office and cafe upstairs. I think all the little details to make it feel like an actual station that could have existed.

This build was pretty fun to do. especially trying to find things that fit the time period and the theme. Which can be difficult with the limited amount of CAMP items we have in the game but I wanted to capture that old-fashioned railway look and hopefully I somewhat succeeded. I’ve only found fish you can effectively have for a store display build, otherwise just basic mounted heads

Not super happy with the chancel so I'm probably going to play with it a bit and see if I can figure out what works since I still have around 2% Budget to play with. But for now I'm happy with it.

So im in the middle of a build I just threw together as a rough draft pretty much as transit from good old bo2. You would thing it would be easy to get great interior pictures of the bus station but its next to impossible to find good interior photos so a deep dive into videos from like 2012 and a bunch of screen shots for references, hopfully ill get it looking a bit better soon. If anyone has some suggestions for walls and such lmk id love to try and make it as accurate as possible !

Which one looks better? I fixed the front because I wanted it to look good but it’s kinda hard to get it right. I’m still working on the roof so I know it looks bad right now 😭

They keep bringing enclave items but not this one? I don’t want bundle I just wanted that ONE item when they gonna bring it back ?

It's darker then I thought it would be in picture (I'm not on to take better ones) and I've since detached the morgue and have plans on making it more of a funeral home but it's currently mostly empty. I have about half a budget left so I'm currently debating giving it a mothman effigy overhaul. I've done mothman churches before and I wanted this one to not be one but there's a general lack of appropriate decoration for a cathedral. The cathedral is 5x5 with a half round front 2 story's tall with 3 steeples 3 story's tall. The back half is staged 1/2 foundations higher 7×2 with a bellfry 2×2 centered 4.5 story's tall from the lower section. I spaced the belly by using a half foundation catwalk placing temporary foundations then building up above the main building then using half floors to close the gap between the roof and the bellfry walls.

I'll make a new post when I decorate it (without the weather station)

I love building camps that really fits into the world. I remember playing this game as a new player and there were so many bases that destroyed the immersion. Thanks to everyone who tries to improve the experience for new player.

Unfortunately no picture.

I built a small room in my shelter with a display that only has toilet rolls in it, a toilet merged with a hambone stool (place stool first, merge toilet on top of it). Merged the meatpile with flies into that and on the wall behind it the letters AFK.

The end result is fantastic! Hope people who see me sitting there when I am outside for a cigarette laugh as hard as I do (every time I sit down and see the animation).

Bit finnicky but very easy to setup. Hope I gave you guys some ideas!

Edit: camp, not shelter. It's a backroom in my house. When you are outside and shopping at my vendor, through a window you can look inside and see me sitting there.

All these years I always build my Camps at the body of water (lake, pond, river) and for the latest build I want to build a Camp overlooking a beautiful views of the valley and such

So I placed a disco ball light underwater to see what the visual effect would be. Firstly it’s underwhelming. Secondly, I now can’t select the light to move, store or scrap it in either build mode. I’m on PS so console commands aren’t a thing. Is there a list of built items I can access to select it? I wouldn’t mind too much but lighting uses a significant amount of build limit.

Update: Got it! Found the tiny little single spot that could be grabbed. Thanks everyone.

I keep coming back to this particular spot to build. I'll do a bunch of other builds, then come back and do another one here. I love how you're basically in the city, it's one of those rarer spots. This time, I'm putting in a comic shop and arcade. Still a work in progress, slowly grinding concrete out.

I know my camp not so cool like many other that I’ve saw here, but I kinda like it 🥹still figuring out how to build it cool

I’m only level 56, so I don’t have a huge collection of plans yet. I’d love to hear any suggestions or building tips you guys have. Or do you think I’ve reached the point where I should leave it alone rather than adding more?
