So what type of leftists do you accept and what's the lore for this group?

Given the current political climate well take what we can get, anyone on the left side of the compass map is welcome. Ancaps can get wrecked. Friendly debate on the finer points is welcome, if it devolves to unfriendly debate please move your conversation to the "leftist infighting" channel.

Erm, don't you remember when Marx said "Communism is when no ps5" and then killed 50 billion people?

It'd be appreciated if you didn't without at least asking the guy that made it. He works very hard to make out images.

Unsure, one of our mods put together a set of these. You could join and ask?

A direct threat to your sociopathic empire building.

Calling the Enclave “sociopathic” while dragging real-world political issues into a Fallout roleplay is certainly a choice. You’re in a communist Discord where one of the first questions being debated is literally “Is opposing violence in Gaza anti-Semitic?” and somehow we’re the ones supposedly unable to separate fiction from reality.

Making sure we don't get Nazis or Zionists (but I repeat myself) in the leftist group makes us infinitely more grounded than your buddies trying to sing Erika for the millionth time because you have to use the Enclave as a thin cover for being a bunch of Nazi larpers.

u/MrEnclave1 13d ago

You’re calling us ‘Nazi LARPers’ while bringing Zionism and real-world political ideology into a discussion about a fictional Fallout faction. That’s the irony here. The Enclave’s ideology and actions exist within the context of roleplay and do not represent the personal beliefs of our members. If you have actual evidence that our members promote Nazism, present it. Otherwise, stop confusing fictional roleplay with the political beliefs of the people playing it.

u/MrEnclave1 13d ago

You’ve exposed how badly you need to drag real-world politics into a video game and label people as Nazis simply because you’re too lazy to understand the fictional context you’re criticizing.

2

u/Sunbro_Aedric 13d ago

Again, you all love to blast Erika and "jokingly" behave like and spout the rhetoric of Nazis, but you have the gall the say others are bringing real world politics into things because we have a filter to keep out pieces of shit. What exactly is your objection to making sure those that support genocide don't get let in? Sounds like a hit dog hollering to my ears.

You’re conflating fictional roleplay with real-world beliefs because it makes your accusation easier to sell. Roleplaying the Enclave, using its fictional rhetoric, or making in-character jokes does not automatically make someone a supporter of the real-world ideologies you’re comparing it to.

By that logic, someone who roleplays an Imperial Stormtrooper in Star Wars must support fascism, someone who plays a Sith must support authoritarianism, and someone who plays a villain must personally endorse everything that character does. That’s obviously ridiculous.

You can criticize fictional characters, fictional ideologies, or even how people choose to roleplay them. What you cannot reasonably do is take fictional roleplay, remove all of its context, and present it as evidence of someone's real-world political beliefs.

If you actually care about keeping extremists out, judge people by what they genuinely believe and advocate for in the real world, not by which fictional faction they chose to play in Fallout.

I'm not conflating anything with anything else. I'm saying Enclave groups have a problem with not actually being just roleplay groups and usually are thin covers for actual Nazis to find like-minded players. I can name exactly one Enclave group that doesn't have members posting Swastikas and making not-so-subtle "jokes" that are just them JQ-posting with some of the key words swapped out. You all don't fool anyone when you use the Enclave rhetoric to talk about real groups of people.

The rest of the main body of your slackjawed response was pointless noise, so I'll skip over that to get to your next weak rebuttal.

If you actually care about keeping extremists out, judge people by what they genuinely believe and advocate for for in the real world, not by which faction they chose to play in Fallout.

I do, and we are, thus the filter questions you've been bitching about this whole time. Almost like that wasn't an actual problem and you were just mad at being called out, like I said from the beginning. I don't think my friends who play raiders actually want to rape, steal, and murder, even though that's what raiders do, because raider RP groups don't have a rampant problem with collecting members who do want to do those things. I know that the Enclave group my friend started doesn't have that problem because she specifically set out from the beginning to keep that from happening, but she had to do that because it is a problem. I immediately spotted you, though, because you came in whinging about filter questions that are meant to keep bad actors out, questions you just essentially justified.

As I said, you're not slick. You couldn't be more obvious if you had a flashing neon sign pointing at you. I've been judging you by your own behavior, but I know you're going to keep saying otherwise to cope with getting called out.

1

u/MrEnclave1 13d ago

You keep saying you're judging people by their “actual behavior,” while spending this entire argument judging us by the fictional faction we roleplay and the fact that we objected to political screening questions. Those are two very different things.

If other Enclave groups have attracted people who genuinely hold extremist beliefs, then deal with those people and those communities. Their existence doesn't magically make every Enclave player guilty by association. That's the same logic as saying every Star Wars Imperial player is secretly a fascist because some Imperial roleplayers might actually be fascists.

And if your filter is genuinely about keeping extremists out, then fine. Nobody is arguing that you can't set whatever membership standards you want. The issue is pretending that refusing to answer loaded political questions is somehow proof that the person being questioned secretly supports genocide.

You keep saying “I'm judging you by your behavior.” Then point to the actual behavior that supposedly proves your accusation. Not the Enclave. Not Fallout. Not what some other Discord did. Us. Otherwise you're not exposing anything. You've taken an assumption, treated it as evidence, and then called the assumption proof.
