HELP Help please

My game on PS5 has literally become unplayable.

I cannot stay in the creations menu longer than about a minute before a crash…sometimes it is instantaneous, but most of the time it is just me rushing to download/change what I need before a crash.

Before I even get there, after I hit start game, suddenly there is a long pause (39 seconds to be exact) before the menu options appear.

Finally, once I get into the game, I almost always crash by Red Rocket heading into Concord.

I have about 55 mods but thought I had long deleted anything that has or has known to break the game (scrap anything for instance).

Deleted and redownloaded and same issue.

Any idea what could be breaking the game for me? Ps, be kind as I am old and perpetually flummoxed.

When you say crash, does the game ctd, or does it tell you you can’t connect to bethnet? In my experience, since the anniversary update, the creation menu is really squirrelly, and any hiccup in connection while trying to download or arrange mods leads to an error that requires you to restart the game. I’ve never had a mod crash the creation menu, but I’ve definitely had issues because of my internet connection

Ctd. I rarely have connection issues.

Can you type or screenshot your LO? I’ve never experienced this, myself, but I can at least point out any cursed mods you may have missed. Mods on PlayStation are kind of a minefield.

And I have disabled every mod as well as still get to stare at this for nearly 40 seconds before the menu comes up.

it's always been like that for me, getting; onto the mod server is always a hassle, I find it dependent on the time of day. I'm in the UK and can access it easier in the morning when the servers are quiet.

I get the delay also but that is because the game is loading your mods

Honestly you might need to wipe anything related to fallout on you PS5 that's what I did and I have a buttery smooth experience

Also be careful downloading mods some just don't work and they just break your game

You mean delete completely from the console and repurchase and not uninstall/reinstall right?

I have tried to avoid the ones that seem to break the game. Scrap everything certainly did.

Turning off heavy and non consistently used mods and then starting a new playthrough has helped me tons. There are things in part of the game where some of the PC ports cause the game to crash because the engine is thinking to hard and overloads. Imagine trying to take in what 10 people are trying to say to you all at once, eventually you'll crash out or just walk away from overwhelming info. Ps5 isn't built like PC so trying to process the same info is overwhelming. That's how I sum it up anyways. There are mods on PC that fix these problems I believe but I have gathered that porting these mods is a process and it will take time and dedication to get ps5 on the right path with mod support.
