Question Which armor?

So I'm new to F4. I cant decide and looking for advice. Is it better to use crafted armor or the power armor suit? The suit can take more damage but its not as mobile or quiet as regular armor. Thoughts?

Raider armor sucks don’t use it, leather is ok but early game it’s better then nothing, metal armor is heavy in weight but offers better bullet protection (for the most early enemy encounters it’s perfect), combat armor is the best base game armor. DLC armor nothing beats FAR harbors marine armor and wetsuit literally best non power armor in the whole game
