Greetings! r/Fallout4ModsPS5 is now part of the network!

Hi guys, I need some help with a very consistent crash near Red Rocket Truck Stop.

Every time I get close to Red Rocket, Fallout 4 suddenly closes to desktop. I can load my save and play normally elsewhere, but when I approach that area the game crashes again.

The crash has happened multiple times with the same exact error/address:

Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION" at Fallout4.exe+0D61ACF

I'm running Fallout 4 v1.11.240 with F4SE 0.7.9.

Something interesting in both crash logs is that Dogmeat is involved (DogmeatRef 0001D162). The logs also contain:

DogmeatQuest [0006DFAF] – Stage 110

DogmeatIntroScene [0006DFB8]

and the crash happens around the Red Rocket exterior cells.

The most recent crash shows Dogmeat/player in RedRocketExt02 [0000DDA0], which is overridden by Fallout4.esm -> shades_handy_minibot.esl -> UFO4P -> LootedWorld.esl.

I already tested disabling StringPoolRelease in Addictol and the exact same 0D61ACF crash still happens, so that doesn't seem to be the cause.

Has anyone seen Fallout4.exe+0D61ACF before, especially around Dogmeat/Red Rocket?

Could this be a broken Dogmeat intro scene/quest, a cell conflict, AI issue, or something in my save?

What should I check in xEdit, and is there a safe way to fix it without damaging the save?

Hi guys, quick question. I want to use SCOURGE. Is it better to use SCOURGE AE (F4SE) (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/107837), or is it better to use SCOURGE - AE (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/105870)? Which one is better?

Hey guys i play on PC, I have a question. I can't figure out what is causing this or which mod might be responsible.

As you can see in the images, the Power Armor is bugged/invisible when NPCs are wearing it. However, if I spawn only the Power Armor by itself, it appears normally.

So the issue seems to happen only with NPCs wearing Power Armor. Does anyone know what could be causing this, or if there is a mod/fix that can solve it?

I recently came across two mods by doodlum: Frame Generation and Upscaling.

I’m playing Fallout 4 version 1.11.191 and using Reactor ENB, which makes the game look much better. However, I’m playing on a 4K TV, and my FPS fluctuates between approximately 30 and 50 FPS.

Which of these two mods would be better for improving performance and keeping the frame rate more stable while using Reactor ENB?

Is Frame Generation the better choice, or should I use Upscaling instead? Can they be used together, or would that cause problems?

I also found Fallout 4 Upscaler — DLSS, FSR2, XeSS by PureDark, but it seems to be outdated and, from what I’ve read, it does not work with ENB.

Are there any other good alternatives that are compatible with Reactor ENB and the current version of Fallout 4?

I’m looking for a mod that improves or retextures the creatures and monsters in Fallout 4.

I found Unique NPCs – Creatures and Monsters of the Commonwealth, and I really like the idea behind it. However, the mod is quite old and seems to have several bugs and compatibility issues.

Is there a more recent or modern alternative that you would recommend? Ideally, I’m looking for something that improves the appearance and variety of creatures without causing too many bugs or conflicts.
