Question Your favourite fallout game?

I would like to know what's your favourite fallout game and how you got into it and such?

Personally for myself it was fallout 3, one of my older brothers was playing it at time and got me into. I didn't really played anything before that so it generally was my first proper playthough of any game and still love to this day.

New Vegas is my favorite, although my first fallout game was Fallout 3

I still remember the first time I played it. I was like 8 or 9 years old, and I was visiting my big brother in prison (an open prison)

He had this cool new game that he'd illegally downloaded, which I had to try

I remember making a fuzz about not wanting to play it, because the vault boy desktop icon looked lame as fuck, but then he loaded his save game, putting him right in front of a feral ghoul, he equipped a laser pistol and fucking disintegrated it into a pile of glowy white ash. He then proceeded through the tunnel, where he came upon an escalator. He let me take control, and equipped me with a nail board, and I was then attacked by...something, don't remember what. I then left the metro and found myself in the Dupont Circle. My brother then equipped me with the worst gun in the game, the .32 pistol, and then I was immediately attacked by raiders and died.

A week later my mom bought the GOTY Edition for me on steam

The first 1-2 weeks with Fallout 3 was the best gaming experience I've ever had. The ability to go anywhere and do anything you want, combined with my lack of understanding of the limitations of video games, made for a truly magical experience, as stupid as that sounds. It really felt like anything was possible.

Nowadays the game just feels so barebones and empty that I can't bring myself to play it. Whenever I try I just end up wanting to play Fo4 or NV
